MOP: Black Tie

"MOP Black Tie"

Valkarie Gallery is elated for their MOP  (month of photography) exhibition, Black Tie; it is a juried photography event celebrating the timeless sophistication, clean lines, and deep emotional resonance of classic monochrome imagery. This call for entry invites photographers to submit traditional, sleek, and elegant black-and-white photography that embraces the power of light, shadow, and form.

"Black Tie"

This call for entry invites photographers to submit traditional, sleek, and elegant black-and-white photography that embraces the power of light, shadow, and form.

From striking high-contrast street portraits and cinematic architectural geometries to minimalist landscapes and editorial fashion, Black Tie seeks photographs that command attention without the noise of color. We are looking for technical mastery, deliberate composition, and a refined aesthetic that honors the rich heritage of silver-halide and classic archival black-and-white printing. Step into the frame, strip away the distractions, and show us the world dressed in its finest attire.

Eligible Mediums: Traditional silver gelatin prints, darkroom processes, digital black-and-white, and archival monochrome inkjet prints.

Aesthetic Focus: May include but not limited to Sleek, high-contrast, elegant, minimalist, classic portraiture, and fine art architecture.
