Squared: a 12"x12" Exhibition

The Deines Cultural Center invites artists of all backgrounds, mediums, and skill levels to submit work for our upcoming 12x12 Exhibition. This dynamic show challenges artists to express their unique vision within a strict, uniform size.

Participating artists will have the opportunity to showcase their work in a community-centered exhibition, reach new audiences, and become part of a diverse network of regional creatives. The exhibition is designed to make space for both emerging and established voices, encouraging artists to experiment, connect, and share their perspectives in a welcoming setting.

Artists will be notified of their acceptance on January 17th, 2027. All accepted works must be delivered to the Deines Cultural Center by February 3rd, 2027. Judging will take place in person, with awards announced during the reception on February 7th, 2027. For those unable to attend, notifications will be sent via email on Wednesday, February 9th.

Artists may submit up to three original works of art. Artwork must measure 12”x 12” excluding framing. Artwork must be ready to hang, for sale, and created within the last 3 years. No substitution, exchange, or modification of works is permitted after they are accepted.

This exhibition is open to regional artists, both amateur and professional. Artwork must have been created in the last three years and not previously exhibited at the Deines Cultural Center.

While all mediums are encouraged, please note the following exclusions:

• No installation art
• No videos
• No artificial intelligence (AI) works
• Please refrain from submitting copies, kits, or giclée reproductions.
