Opportunity Summary
Same coordinates. Different point of view.
Bitfactory invites artists nationwide to submit work for By Degrees, a juried exhibition open to all media. The exhibition considers subtle shifts in attention and significance—the distances we travel while appearing to remain in place. What once filled the frame may slip beyond its edges; an ordinary moment may become unexpectedly full. Artists are invited to interpret the theme broadly.
General Information
We do not always notice how far we have moved. What once filled the frame becomes one detail among many, or slips beyond its edges. Something ordinary becomes absorbing. A quiet moment feels unexpectedly full.
By Degrees considers these subtle movements in attention and significance—the distances we travel while appearing to remain in place. What matters, what moves us, and what we see are continually shifting. Sometimes we become aware of that movement only when we discover how different the view has become.
Bitfactory invites artists working in all media to submit work for this national juried exhibition. The theme offers a point of departure, with room for ambiguity, discovery, and individual interpretation.
