“We invite artists from all disciplines to interpret the theme ‘Through Rose Colored Glasses.’ How do we see the world—through hope, nostalgia, love, or idealism? What lies beyond the surface of our perceptions? This exhibition seeks works that explore the boundaries between optimism and reality, adoration and critique, and the ways we navigate society’s pressures with creativity and heart.”

Entries Due: December 1, 2026 
Exhibition Dates: January 22 – February 12, 2027
Opening Reception: Friday, February 5, 2027 from 4-7pm

Artists age 18+ in Western and West Central Virginia are encouraged to apply.

• Call for Entry Opens: November 3, 2026
• Entries Due: December 1, 2026
• Exhibition Open to the Public: January 22 – February 12, 2027

Entry open to all mediums.
 

Entry Fee: $25 for up to 3 artworks 

*Currently Enrolled Radford University Students are eligible for a fee waiver, please contact RUartmuseum@radford.edu for information. 

• Artists may submit up to three artworks to be considered.
• The artwork must be the original creation of the artist and not a reproduction.
• Only high-quality images and application materials will be considered.
• Entries are open to artists working in any media and entries are not limited to any theme.

THIS COMPETITION IS OPEN TO ANY ARTIST AGES 18 AND UP WHO LIVE IN WESTERN AND WEST CENTRAL VIRGINIA:
