Salon Series I

Art Scene West invites artists to submit work for The Salon Series, a curated juried exhibition series presented in San Diego, California.

Inspired by the tradition of the historic Paris Salon, The Salon Series is an ongoing exhibition program created to bring together compelling artists and exceptional works of art in a professional gallery setting. Each exhibition is thoughtfully juried and curated, with selected artists given the opportunity to exhibit their work at Art Scene West, a contemporary art gallery in San Diego’s Seaport Village.

The Salon Series embraces the diversity of contemporary art. Artists working in painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media, digital art, printmaking, illustration, and other visual mediums are encouraged to submit. Work may range from representational to abstract, traditional to experimental, provided it demonstrates a strong artistic point of view and contributes to the character of the exhibition.

The Salon Series is an open call for artists to exhibit original artwork in a curated gallery exhibition in San Diego, California. Inspired by the tradition of the historic Paris Salon, this contemporary exhibition series celebrates artistic excellence, creative diversity, and emerging and established artists working across a wide range of styles and mediums.

Artists are invited to submit their work for consideration in a professional gallery setting at Art Scene West, a contemporary art gallery in San Diego’s Seaport Village. The Salon Series provides artists with an opportunity to have their work exhibited alongside other selected artists, presented to local audiences, collectors, and San Diego’s vast tourist industry, as well as promoted through the gallery’s online and social media channels.

We welcome painters, drawers, photographers, sculptors, mixed-media artists, digital artists, printmakers, illustrators, and other contemporary visual artists whose work contributes to a dynamic and thoughtfully curated exhibition.

Each Salon Series exhibition is designed to create a distinctive gallery experience while giving participating artists a meaningful platform for their work. Selected artwork is displayed professionally in the gallery and made available for purchase, providing artists with an opportunity to connect with potential art buyers and expand their audience.

Whether you are an emerging artist looking for exhibition opportunities or an established artist seeking a new gallery platform in San Diego, The Salon Series offers an opportunity to present your work in a professional contemporary art environment.

Artists from San Diego, throughout California, across the United States, and internationally are all welcome to apply.
