WHITE HORSE GALLERY OPEN CALL ARTIST + TEACHING ROSTER

One application. Ongoing opportunities. White Horse Gallery is seeking emerging and established artists for consideration for exhibitions, special projects, artist talks, and other gallery programming. Artists may also opt in to be considered for paid teaching opportunities.

White Horse Gallery is looking for artists to discover, exhibit, and bring into our growing creative community.

This open call creates a roster of artists for consideration for juried and curated exhibitions, group shows, special projects, artist talks, and other gallery programming. Artists may be contacted for more than one opportunity while their application is active.

Rather than applying for one specific exhibition, artists submit their work once to introduce their practice to White Horse Gallery. As new exhibitions and programs are developed, artists whose work may be a fit can be contacted directly and invited to participate.

WANT TO TEACH? TELL US.

White Horse Gallery is also looking for artists interested in paid teaching opportunities, including workshops, demonstrations, and creative programming for adults, teens, and children.

Teaching is completely optional. You do not need to teach or submit a class proposal to be considered for exhibition opportunities. Artists interested in teaching may indicate that interest in the same application and tell us what they would like to teach.

Prior teaching experience is not required. We are interested in artists who have a skill, process, technique, or creative practice they would like to share with others.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

Emerging and established artists working across mediums, styles, and perspectives are encouraged to apply.

You do not need an extensive exhibition résumé. We are interested in the work—and in discovering artists we may not know yet.

Painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, photography, printmaking, mixed media, fiber and textile work, assemblage, installation, and other contemporary practices are welcome.

HOW IT WORKS

Submit examples of your work along with information about your artistic practice. Applications remain active for six months from the date of submission.

White Horse Gallery reviews submissions as exhibitions, classes, and other programming are developed. If your work or practice may be a fit for a particular exhibition, project, class, artist talk, or program, the gallery may contact you directly with information about that opportunity.

Submission does not guarantee an exhibition or teaching invitation. Participation in any opportunity offered by White Horse Gallery is optional. Artists can decide whether each opportunity is right for them when contacted.

White Horse Gallery is a new juried gallery and creative space in Santa Clarita, California, built around discovery—new artists, new ideas, and new ways for our community to experience art.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Artist Statement: A brief statement describing your artistic practice, interests, and work.
• Artwork Images: Submit a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 20 images representing your work.
• Teaching Interest (Optional): If you are interested in teaching at White Horse Gallery, briefly describe your teaching abilities, areas of expertise, and/or classes, workshops, or demonstrations you would be interested in offering.
• Teaching Experience: Prior teaching experience is not required.

Open to artists ages 18 and older. Emerging and established artists working across mediums, styles, backgrounds, and levels of experience are encouraged to apply. There are no geographic restrictions.
