WHEN NATURE CALLS: A Call for Nature Art

Nature is one of art’s oldest subjects, but something is always waiting to be seen. We welcome landscapes, wildlife, plants, weather, water, bodies, and how we live with, alter, and imagine nature. Observation and invention are welcome, especially when they uncover what people walk past.

Your work might begin with something animalistic, a mountain, a backyard, a storm, or a fossil. Nature can be majestic or microscopic, peaceful or vicious, funny, sacred, invasive, decaying, returning, or indifferent. Look beyond the postcard and show us the odd corner, contradiction, or living force that keeps pulling you back.

All styles and mediums are welcome, from traditional landscapes and wildlife art to abstraction, surrealism, conceptual work, and experimentation. We want skill, curiosity, feeling, and a real point of view.

The exhibition will be held at The Lab on Santa Fe in Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe, known for First Friday visibility, sales, and collector interest.

Work rooted in observation is just as welcome as work rooted in invention, but we are especially drawn to the things most people walk right past.

The exhibition will be held at The Lab on Santa Fe, a central space in Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe, known for strong First Friday visibility and a solid reputation for sales and collector interest.

-All art submitted must be for sale.

-Measurements on applications need to be accurate in size.
