Black & White 2026

For the 3rd year in a row we invite artists to submit artworks that are black and white. We are not looking for works with some color either; this requires that artworks completely lack color of any kind and only feature black and/or white (shades of gray are also OK). Otherwise, the theme is open.

We will accept any medium (except AI), any style, any size, and artworks can be created in any year.

This is an ONLINE ONLY exhibition.

It will be live online Thursday, October 1st, 2026 through Saturday, October 31st, 2026.

Deadline to submit is Thursday, September 24th.

Invited Artists will be notified by Tuesday, September 29th. Only invited artists will be notified. Non-invited artists can see the Status Update on their CaFE homepage.

Three artists/artworks will be selected for premiere/pinned online promotion and awarded certificates for this achievement.

The Hummingbird & Dragonfly Art Gallery is a sister gallery to the KBM Art Gallery, with the same mission: to do the utmost to help artists, promoting them on social media and curating exquisite shows. Based in Los Angeles, we have over 2K followers on Instagram and this exhibition will also be promoted on the KBM Art Gallery X (Formerly Twitter) page to an audience of nearly 20K followers.

All artists will have at least one artwork featured on our social media pages in order to promote the exhibition/gallery. We do not remove these posts, even after the close of the exhibition. If we still receive inquires for the purchase of your artwork after the close of the show; we will promptly forward them to you.

Our gallery accepts and displays your artwork at any price set in your CaFE account. You, the artist, are entitled to 100% of the profits from the sale of said artwork, under the agreement to work directly with the buyer to negotiate payment/framing/shipping/etc. We do not sell your artwork directly through our website; we only direct buyers to you via email, social media, or other websites, after determining their legitimacy.

We do not require you to display your artwork in our gallery alone. All artists retain the right of ownership over their work, and can display and promote it at their own discretion. We simply ask if your artwork sells elsewhere to let us know so we can mark the work as SOLD for our online audience.

This is a juried exhibition. It is our company policy to maintain the anonymity of our juror(s) in order to protect their privacy and maintain unbiased results

Please send at least 1 jpg image and up to 20 jpg images of up to 20 different artworks.

For 2D works please crop the picture to be of the ARTWORK ONLY. Use a photo-editing app, if necessary, to remove excess shadows/highlights/blurriness/etc.

For 3D works make sure the artwork is very well-lit, cropped to be in the center, and against an ALL WHITE BACKGROUND. We strongly recommend the use of a photo editing app to properly achieve this.

You are welcome to send more than one angle or a close-up image of any work, however, please keep in mind that we only display 1 image per artwork.

We accept artworks created in any year.

DO NOT send artwork containing nudity or genitalia.

DO NOT send erotic artwork. This includes photographs of feet.

DO NOT send artwork with racist, offensive or harassing themes.

Artworks do not have to be for sale.

Please make sure the details in your CaFE account are up-to-date and accurate.

Artists must be 18 years of age or older.

Artworks must be original works by the submitting artist.

ENTRY FEE is $20 for the first artwork and $3 for each additional work submitted.

ENTRY FEE is NON-REFUNDABLE.

SUBMISSION DOES NOT GUARANTEE ACCEPTANCE.
