CURRENTS 2026

Photographers are invited to submit work for consideration in CURRENTS 2026. CURRENTS is a showcase exhibition featuring work from active members of the New Orleans Photo Alliance.

The 2026 Currents juror is Bill Boling, book publisher and creator of Fall Line Press.

CURRENTS is the annual PhotoNOLA Showcase exhibition at Ogden Museum of Southern Art, which highlights 8-10 portfolios of diverse photographic work created by New Orleans Photo Alliance Members.

CURRENTS is a showcase exhibition featuring up to four images per selected photographer and is designed to give an overview of contemporary photographic practices and projects. 

The exhibit will be open from December 04, 2026 - February 1, 2027 at The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, for the PhotoNOLA festival. 

The 2026 Currents juror is Bill Boling, book publisher and creator of Fall Line Press.

William Boling resides and works in Milledgeville, Georgia. Boling’s projects such as 52, Never Gone, Southern Places of Arts and Letters, and You Ain’t Wrong have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Atlanta, New York, and internationally. He has exhibited in the New Museum in New York, the Window Gallery at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and for Atlanta Celebrates Photography’s 11th Annual Public Art Project Gifted. Boling’s work is held in many public and private collections. Bill studied photography under Stephen Shore during the early 2000s at Bard College. In addition to his art practice, he runs an independent photobook publishing company called Fall Line Press in Milledgeville.

You must be an active member of the New Orleans Photo Alliance to enter. Before the jurying process begins, the NOPA team will verify membership status.

Submission Fee (for Members) : $25 
Submission Fee + NOPA Membership: $60
 
The minimum number of images to be submitted is four, and the maximum is ten. Files must be in JPG format with a maximum file size of 5mb. Size each image to 1800 pixels on the SHORT side for ease of viewing by the juror and for use in promotion if selected. 

Submissions are open to all photographers with current New Orleans Photo Alliance memberships. Applicants may join at time of entry.

We ask that you not enter if your work was accepted for the immediate previous year of CURRENTS. Please do not resubmit any images that have been featured in previous CURRENTS exhibitions. Different images from a previously featured series are eligible.

Please note that selected artists typically have multiple pieces accepted into the show. Shipping will be the responsibility of the artist.
