Wytches II

An exploration of the Witch, before the systematic dissolution of her relationship with nature, by way of the moonlight. 

WYTCHES II explores the captivating world of full moon rituals and familiars, spells and incantations. It challenges the patriarchal-imposed misconception of witches and their inherent connection to the Earth. We will dig into the enchantment of moonlight and the rhythms of nature to look at the intuitive, connected beings who have been unjustly stigmatized throughout history.

Founded in 2021 on the California coast, Dorado 806 Projects is an artist-funded, arts and culture platform with a fluid, place-responsive practice. While rooted in Southern California, on Tongva unceded land, our practice remains nomadic—drifting toward new voices, places, and possibilities. Our studio gallery serves as both a creative hub and launch point for exhibits, performances, installations, and workshops. We focus on themes of introspection, human relationship with the natural world, transcendentalism, inclusion, listening, and self-actualization through humor and play.

ACCEPTED ARTWORK | Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Fiber, Photography, Sculpture

ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS | All work must be original, unsold work, & the artist must own the sole copyright to the art. All artwork selected must remain available for sale for the entirety of the Exhibition. 

• All work must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition
• Work should be ready to hang condition with proper wiring, works on paper must be framed.

Size must not exceed 36" in every direction. You may submit a series of pieces where each piece maintains the size requirement (and is therefore, in conjunction, larger than the size limit).

Please upload a CLEAR, well-lit image, at 2MB or above, cropped to the edges. Include your name and the name of your piece in the following file name format: eg. “Jane_Doe_Sunset”

SUBMISSION NOTE | All work selected must remain available for sale for the entirety of this show.

SALE TERMS | Standard terms are a 60/40 split, with Dorado 806 donating a portion of its proceeds to a local nonprofit to be announced. Artists can elect to donate a portion of the sale as well. 

Any work in the exhibition sold by the artist after the show, as a direct result of the show, is subject to the same 60/40 split.

REMITTANCE | Sales remittance to the Artist will be provided within 14 business days after the completion of a sale transaction, and receipt of payment from the Buyer to Dorado 806 Projects has been finalized. Dorado 806 Projects will provide the Artist with a remittance statement for all sales. 

SHIPPING & DROP-OFF REQUIREMENTS | Artists are responsible for getting their work to Dorado 806 Projects in Santa Monica or shipping it with adequate packaging. Dorado 806 is not responsible for artwork damaged in transit or for return packaging. Artwork should be packed with appropriate protective materials and boxes, and crates or containers should be sturdy enough for regional, national, and international travel (please do not use USPS).  All shipped work MUST include a prepaid computer-generated FedEx or UPS return label INSIDE the box, addressed from the Dorado 806 to yourself or a third party who will accept the package for you. Do not affix the Return Label on the outside of the box. Do not send stamps for the return of work; the Post Office does not pick up packages.

RETURN OF UNSOLD ARTWORK | All work must be picked up on TBD date post-show, 2026, to clear the space for the next show.
