Five Points Arts is accepting submissions for its 2026 Small Works Juried Exhibition. All accepted works will be exhibited at Five Points Gallery and on the Five Points website. The one award will be a solo exhibition at Five Points Gallery.
Juror: Patricia Carrigan, a CT painter & mixed media artist, whose work has been featured in numerous solo & group exhibitions and taught for over 20 years. She has received several prestigious awards, including fellowships at the Vermont Studio Center and the Ballinglen Artist Residency, as well as Individual Artist Fellowship Grants from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism.

Only works equal to or smaller than 24 inches (including frame) in any dimension will be considered for exhibition.
Open to all artists, emerging and established, 18 years or older.

ABOUT:
Five Points Arts, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization located in Torrington, CT.
Five Points Arts, one of Connecticut’s largest and most respected arts non-profits, is accepting submissions for its 2026 Small Works Juried Exhibition. Open to all artists 18 years or older working in any style or medium. All works should be under 24 inches. All accepted works will be exhibited at Five Points Gallery and on the Five Points website. The one award will be a solo exhibition in Five Points Gallery.

Juror: Patricia Carrigan
Patricia Carrigan is a CT painter and mixed media artist, whose work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally since 1990. Her art, which explores themes of memory, personal storytelling, Irish family histories, and everyday symbols of life, is represented in various private and public collections. Carrigan earned her MFA in painting and drawing from the University of Connecticut in 1994 and a BA from Hartwick College in 1982. She has received several prestigious awards, including fellowships at the Vermont Studio Center and the Ballinglen Artist Residency in Ireland, as well as Individual Artist Fellowship Grants from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism. In addition to her artistic practice, she has been a Professor of Visual Fine Arts at Manchester Community College in Connecticut for over twenty years.

October 25, 2026 - Notification of Acceptance on CaFE.
October 27 - November 13 - Delivery Period (Deliver to Arts Center)
November 20, 2026 - Exhibition opens, Reception: 6-8 PM, winner announcement at 7 pm.
January 9, 2027: Saturday at 5 PM - Exhibition ends
January 10 - 15, 2027 (1 - 5 PM) - In-person pickup (Closed Monday)
January 15, 2027 - All shipped artwork sent back to artists.
ELIGIBILITY:
This is an International Juried Call for Small Works
● Only works equal to or smaller than 24 inches (including frame) in any dimension will be considered for exhibition.
● Open to all artists, emerging and established, 18 years or older.
● Only original artworks, in any style or medium, that have not been previously exhibited at Five Points Gallery will be considered.
ENTRY FEE:
A $35.00 entry fee will be charged for up to three works. VISA, Discover, MasterCard, or American Express will be accepted through the CaFE website.
SUBMISSIONS:
Five Points will only accept submissions through callforentry.org (CaFE). CaFE is an online application and jury management system for calls for entry. Entries submitted via email or direct mail will not be considered.

GUIDELINES:
● Up to three works per artist may be submitted.
● Dimensions cannot exceed 24 inches in any direction (including frame).
● Any work requiring assembly or installation procedure must be accompanied by detailed written instructions with reference photos.
● No artwork substitutions are allowed. No work on display may be removed before the close of the exhibition.
● All artwork must be for sale. A standard commission of 50% will be retained on all sales.
SELECTED ARTWORK:
● All work must be ready for installation. Works on paper can be installed with magnets. Framed works must be wired.
● All submitted works must be labeled on the back: Artist Name, Title, Date, Artwork Medium, Dimension, and Price - (If artwork is mixed media, please list all materials).
● All accepted works should be accompanied by a printed Artist Statement to be featured in an exhibition binder. (Please limit to 1 page).
● Artwork that is misrepresented, damaged or unsuitable for presentation will be refused/returned.
ARTWORK DELIVERY:
DUE TO LIMITED STORAGE AT FIVE POINTS GALLERY, ALL WORKS SHOULD BE DELIVERED TO FIVE POINTS ARTS CENTER, 855 UNIVERSITY DRIVE, TORRINGTON, CT 06790.

● Artwork Delivery Period: October 27 - November 13 - All work must be delivered by 11/13/2026, 5:00 PM. The deadline for receiving all works is firm. OPEN HOURS LISTED BELOW.
● Shipped artwork: please provide gallery staff with any shipping/tracking information.
● All shipped artwork must include a prepaid return shipping label.
● Please include a cover sheet in the packaging with the artist’s name, telephone number, Email, title of work, date, medium, dimension, and price. Packaging exterior must also be clearly labeled.
● All work must be packaged in a manner that allows the materials to be re-used for return.
● Any artwork that is damaged will be reported back to the artists and may not be included.
● Any work not picked up on the stated date cannot be stored and will be disposed of as deemed appropriate by the Gallery.
● In the case of inadequate or nonexistent return postage, works cannot be stored and will be disposed of as deemed appropriate by the Gallery.
AGREEMENT:
Five Points reserves the right to photograph accepted artwork for publicity purposes.
Five Points Arts reserves the right to keep or dispose of any artwork that is not picked up or given proper prepaid return shipping coverage.
