Honoring Life’s Transformations through Art: From Youthful Dreams to the Grace of Years
Exhibizone is proud to present the second annual Passage of Life: Aging - 2026, the 3rd annual juried international art exhibition, promotion, and sales, celebrating and exploring the vast spectrum of aging. From the inevitable physical changes to the deeper emotional, social, and psychological transformations, aging touches every aspect of life. This unique opportunity invites visual artists to portray aging not as a singular narrative but as a complex, multifaceted journey of growth, change, resilience, and hope.
The Timeless Story of Aging:
Aging is an undeniable reality for all of us. With modern medicine, technology, and changing attitudes, we are living longer than ever before. Yet, how we perceive aging varies across cultures and experiences. To some, aging is fraught with challenges, reminders of mortality, frailty, and loneliness. To others, it represents wisdom, experience, resilience, and the culmination of a life well-lived. This art opportunity is a space for artists to reflect on and depict the diverse experiences of aging in all its nuances.
Themes to Explore:
Age is Just a Number: Break the boundaries of stereotypes and redefine aging. Show how the human spirit transcends years, how dreams persist, and how determination and passion outshine any number. Inspire through art the limitless potential of every age.
Aging and Lifestyle: Our routines, habits, and connections evolve as we age. Some find strength in family bonds, others cultivate new interests and engage in community life, while many take extra care with their health and wellness. Explore how daily life transforms and adapts over time.
Traveling Through Time: Today’s older generations travel the globe, live actively, and pursue their passions like never before. Whether through travel stories, experiences, or connections made along the way, capture the zest for life that many embrace in their later years.
Modern Aging: In a connected world, aging is no longer about retreating but participating. From video chats and dating apps to fitness trackers and adaptive mobility aids, explore how technology enhances independence and connectivity in the golden years.
Adapting to Technology: Navigating the digital world is part of aging in modern society. Capture how older generations learn and adapt to the ever-changing technological landscape.
The Future of Aging: As society evolves, so too do our ideas about aging. From innovations in health and wellness to opportunities for active living and personal growth, envision what lies ahead for aging populations around the globe.
Abstract Aging: Go beyond representational art and immerse yourself in colors, shapes, and textures that evoke the essence of aging, memory, and time.
Artistic Mediums Accepted:
We welcome submissions in any 2D and 3D art form in both abstract and representational works.
