FAQ:
How do I submit Group Exhibitions? You will complete one payment and application. In the application: each artist should include their individual CVs, but the group should submit one unified proposal. The artwork images should be divided between the group.
Are there geographic limitations? We require that artists deliver, pick up their artwork, and attend opening receptions. We also encourage artists to give artist talks and invite guests to the reception, and it helps if they have a local following. Before exhibitions, we curate the work from your studio. This can occur over Zoom, but it can also be challenging, and our gallery coordinator and committee members prefer in-person visits. In-person studio visits are geographically limited to within a 90-minute drive time from GAC. Please consider all of these factors when applying.
How is the gallery space utilized? We pair solo and group exhibitions so that both galleries are occupied during a show, with each proposal receiving either a show in our Gillette Gallery (625 sq ft) or Balter Gallery (360 sq ft).
Can I call you for technical support? No, please contact Cafe. We cannot see the technical side of the application, only the final submission.
When will I hear back? No earlier than May. We receive a high volume of submissions. To fairly consider all works, we host several rounds of judging. This takes around 2-3 months.
