Crescendo Celebration - Original Cover Art

Hilton Head Island's Office of Cultural Affairs seeks entries from Beaufort County, South Carolina artists for use in promotional materials, websites, digital media, and print advertising for the Town's annual Crescendo Celebration. 

Crescendo is a celebration of Hilton Head Island's art, culture, and history. It features concerts, art exhibitions, theatrical performances, guided tours, hands-on arts experiences, poetry readings, documentary screenings, cultural festivals, and lantern parade.

The selected, signature image will be used on the cover of the event schedule. Over 3,000 printed booklets are distributed around the community. It is also shared digitally.

The Town of Hilton Head Island's Office of Cultural Affairs and the Arts Council of Hilton Head will hold its tenth Annual Crescendo Celebration of Arts & Culture this year.

This regional event, organized in honor of October’s National Arts and Humanities month, highlights, and showcases the vast array of arts, culture and history organizations, individual artists, performers, and authors residing and working on Hilton Head Island. Last year, more than 100 events were part of the Crescendo Celebration. 

Submissions should reflect the unique arts, culture, history, and environment of Hilton Head Island. Find a few of the recent covers here.  

The artist of the selected piece is invited to participate in the Crescendo Kickoff Celebration on October 14th. 

Submissions must be owned by the artist and permission granted for reproduction by the Office of Cultural Affairs.

If selected, the artwork must be provided to the Office of Cultural Affairs in a high-resolution file that is suitable for printing.

• Artists must be full or part-time residents of Beaufort County South Carolina
• Artists must give permission for reproduction of the image (in whole or in parts) to use in print and digital media. The artist retains ownership of the image.
