She Speaks

Tolleson Art Gallery is proud to present She Speaks, a juried exhibition celebrating the creativity, perspective, and artistic voices of Arizona WOMEN. We invite artists who are women or who identify as female to share work that reflects their unique experiences, ideas, and creative vision across all styles, themes, and mediums.

Whether your work is bold or subtle, traditional or contemporary, personal or abstract, this exhibition aims to highlight the diversity and talent of women artists within our community.

This show is only open to ARIZONA artists.

Accepted Mediums

All mediums are welcome, including painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, digital art, textile art, and more.

 This show is FREE to enter and is only open to ARIZONA WOMEN artists. This show is held in the Tolleson Art Gallery.

Submission Deadline: September 1, 2026

Exhibition Dates: October 23, 2026 to December 10, 2026

Location: Tolleson Art Gallery, located inside Tolleson Public Library, 9055 W Van Buren St, Tolleson, AZ
Eligibility: Open to artists who are women or identify as female within the state of Arizona. All experience levels welcome.

Artist Compensation

• $575 stipend will be awarded to each artist selected to exhibit and present a program (minimum 1-hour) such as a workshop, artist talk, demo, or other public engagement. This stipend level that includes a program piece is optional and not a requirement to submit work. 
• $100 stipend will be awarded to each artist selected to exhibit (who elects not to present a program or whose program is not chosen).
• The Tolleson Public Library raffles one art piece for each exhibition run to a gallery visitor. Gallery visitors who enter the raffle can select one exhibiting piece that is available for sale up to a $500 value. The raffle will take place at the exhibition close and the artist whose work was chosen will be notified of the sale through the Sedona Arts Center.

 Application Requirements

Image Format:  Each artist can submit up to six (6) works.  Photos must be in a JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Images should include the title of the piece in the file name. In addition, please list the title, dimensions, medium and price of your pieces on the Entry Form.

All entries must be original works created by the submitting artist.

Provide high-quality images or video links (for digital, installation, or performance works).

Include a brief artist statement (max 250 words) related to your submission.

If you are interested in the exhibit plus plus program at Tolleson Art Gallery, please include program title and brief description of program.  This is required if you are interested in the higher stipend.
