From beaches, gardens, pools, and distant landscapes to intimate moments of joy, solitude, desire, and escape, artists are encouraged to interpret summer in their own unique way.

Infinite Summer

There is a particular moment in summer when time seems to disappear.

The days stretch endlessly beneath the sun. Windows remain open late into the evening. Roads lead toward unknown places. Water reflects the sky, gardens overflow with color, and ordinary moments seem filled with possibility.

Palm Gallery invites artists to participate in Infinite Summer, an exhibition celebrating summer not simply as a season, but as a feeling, a memory, a state of mind, and an invitation to escape.

Summer can be joyful, vibrant, sensual, peaceful, restless, or mysterious. It may bring memories of childhood vacations, crowded beaches, empty swimming pools, roadside motels, family gatherings, foreign cities, music drifting through open windows, or quiet afternoons when nothing appears to happen.

For some, summer represents freedom—the freedom to travel, explore, celebrate, fall in love, or become someone new. For others, it carries nostalgia for moments that have already disappeared: a place once visited, a person once known, a home left behind, or a perfect day that seemed as though it would last forever.

Summer is also a season of contrast.

It is the brightness of the midday sun and the darkness of a warm night. It is abundance and drought, movement and stillness, celebration and isolation. It can be playful and carefree, but also intense, overwhelming, and dreamlike.

Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme freely and personally. Possible subjects may include landscapes, beaches, gardens, swimming pools, vacations, road trips, festivals, city streets, summer fashion, leisure, nature, heat, water, light, shadows, memories, relationships, or imagined destinations.

The exhibition may also explore summer through abstraction, symbolism, color, atmosphere, or emotion. A work does not need to depict a recognizable summer scene. It may express the sensation of heat, the rhythm of waves, the brilliance of sunlight, the energy of movement, or the feeling of longing for a season that never ends.

Infinite Summer welcomes works that are joyful, nostalgic, poetic, romantic, surreal, experimental, contemplative, or unexpected. Artists of all backgrounds, styles, and levels of experience are invited to submit work in any visual artistic medium.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

Sacred Feminine is an international online art exhibition that invites painters, digital artists, photographers, and mixed-media creators to explore the emotional, cultural, and visual impact of Line, shape, and form. We welcome your interpretation if you create abstract masterpieces, surreal dreamscapes, or hyperrealistic scenes!

Artworks will be judged based on creativity, originality, quality of work, composition, and overall artistic ability.

-  Selected artworks (up to 3 per applicant) will be exhibited in an international online group exhibition organized by Palm Art Gallery.

- Other awards include a lifelong permanent link to boost artists’ online visibility and intensive exposure for selected artists to showcase their artworks to art enthusiasts, experts, and art collectors.

Exhibiting artists will be selected based on the quality of their single entry and the overall quality of their work. Exhibiting artists will be announced by  August 19, 2016 If you are selected for this exhibition, details will be provided via email.

Originality: Artworks must be entirely the entrant’s work without supervision. No copies or derivatives of other works.

Rights: Artists must have all rights to present and publish their artworks internationally.

Number of Artworks: Up to 9 original pieces can be submitted.

Other Restrictions: Artworks containing pornographic, violent, racist, or religiously hateful content are not admissible.
