Opportunity Summary
Fibrous is a juried exhibition of paper and textile artworks from across the country. What do paper and textiles have in common? FIBERS! The processes of creating both paper and textiles are very different - pulp and various fibers are pressed into sheets to create different paper types, while textiles are created by weaving or knitting the fibers together to create a flexible and durable finished product.
Works cannot exceed a weight of 50 pounds. Work can not be longer/larger than 60 inches in its longest dimension. Depending on artist involvement with installation, these stipulations may be waived. Wall hanging art must have a wire or cleat.
*** Size and weight restrictions may be waived by contacting the Gallery Director directly prior to submission. If you have a question about if your work qualifies, email abradley@d-artcenter.org. No phone calls please.
This is an in person exhibition but it will also be featured digitally on d’Art Center’s archive site. See our profile here.
