Let your art become a vessel for the unseen!
What lies beyond the visible? What energy guides your hand when you create?
Spirituality 2026 invites you on a journey to explore the unseen, the sacred, the mystical, and the divine through your art.
Gallerium is proud to present the 4th annual edition of Spirituality, an international juried art opportunity that transcends boundaries of religion, culture, and belief. Spirituality seeks to illuminate the invisible threads that connect us to a deeper purpose — to ourselves, to each other, and to something greater than us.
In times of chaos and clarity, art has always been a spiritual act — a way to ask questions, offer healing, and express what words cannot. Spirituality 2026 calls on artists to reflect the many forms of spiritual expression, from ancient traditions to modern mysticism, from sacred rituals to personal revelations.
This opportunity is not just about exposure or sales — it’s about giving voice to the soul. It’s about creating a sacred space where artists from around the world can present work that embodies faith, transformation, reverence, and wonder. Your art has the power to bring comfort, provoke thought, awaken something dormant, and connect with viewers on a soul-deep level.
In a world craving meaning, Spirituality 2026 is your opportunity to join a collective creative force that dares to make the invisible visible.
Let your imagination soar across these categories, or surprise us with something beyond, as the theme of Spirituality opens up a world of possibilities for artistic interpretation. Some artistic expressions can be categorized under:
Sacred Symbols and Signs: Mandalas, runes, sigils, spirit animals, dream catchers, chakras, tarot, astrology, numerology, sacred geometry, divine light, and protective icons.
Spiritual States and Consciousness: Meditation, enlightenment, trance, nirvana, awakening, peace, near-death experiences, ascension, lucid dreaming, altered states of being.
Sacred Spaces and Nature as Temple: Churches, temples, mosques, forests, deserts, caves, rivers, mountaintops, monasteries, synagogues, tombs, pyramids, Gurdwaras, sacred islands, and imaginary sanctuaries — where spirit dwells in nature.
Guides, Beings, and Messengers: Angels, archangels, demons, deities, prophets, mythological protectors, celestial figures, spirit guides, totems, saints, avatars, monks, priests, imams, shamans, healers, spiritual teachers, and wisdom keepers.
Rituals and Devotion: Ceremonies, pilgrimages, sacred texts, altars, rosaries, incense, chants, sacred dance, offering bowls, rites of passage.
Journeys of the Soul: Afterlife, reincarnation, karmic cycles, soul contracts, shadow work, rebirth, soul mates, destiny, spiritual healing, inner child, transformation.
Light and Shadow: Sin and virtue, judgment, temptation, moral conflict, duality of good and evil, apocalypse, revelations, divine justice, cosmic balance.
Pilgrimage and Sacred Destinations: Journey through sacred cities like Jerusalem, Mecca, Vatican, Varanasi, Bodh Gaya, or Camino de Santiago. Depict the path of pilgrims, the spirit of sacred travel, and the profound symbolism of spiritual geography.
Sacred Texts and Teachings: Bring to life the visual power of revered texts such as the Bible, Quran, Torah, Gita, Book of the Dead, Avesta, or spiritual philosophies from Taoism, Shinto, Wicca, and more. Let your art reflect their stories, wisdom, or influence.
Modern Spirituality: Neo-paganism, zeitgeist, karma and reincarnation, law of attraction, mindfulness, breathwork, new-age spiritual movements and alternative healings (Yoga, Reiki, Crystal healing, energy medicine, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, oriental medicine), dream interpretation, universal consciousness, solitude, intuition, ancestral healing, afterlife, cosmic justice, etc.
Thought-provoking Concepts: Injustice in the name of religion, sin, guilt, apocalyptic scenes, judgement day, suffering and faith, morality, rebirth, self-discovery journey, spiritual healing and transformation, soul-searching walks, etc.

Join us in revealing what makes art not just seen, but felt. Let your work take its rightful place among the most captivating visual experiences of the year.
Let your brush, lens, or hands channel the divine.
Let your work speak of inner light, struggle, stillness, devotion, and eternity.
Let it echo the spirit of this time — and beyond.
Submit to Spirituality 2026 and reveal what is felt, but unseen.
Psychology and neuroscience consider spiritual experiences as the brain state in higher consciousness that is accessible to all, regardless of being religious or not. In general, Spirituality is a sense of connectedness to something bigger than ourselves and a holistic perspective for bringing meaning and purpose to life and living in peace together.
In visual arts, Spirituality explores the deeper dimensions of human existence, seeking to connect with the universe and explore existential questions. Through symbolism, abstraction, and contemplative aesthetics, spiritual artworks evoke a sense of awe, introspection, and inner transformation.
Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dali, Vincent van Gogh, Georgia O’Keeffe, Wassily Kandinsky, Yayoi Kusama, Anish Kapoor, Marina Abramovic, and many other artists have spoken of art as a gateway to the spiritual realm and felt the channeling energy and connectedness to divine through art. They sought to express the inexpressible, unveil the mysteries of the cosmos, and capture the invisible threads that connect us to the universe.
The submitted artworks can visualize spirituality in many ways. They may capture the serenity of a place of worship or peaceful landscape, delve into spiritual states and poses, depict portraits of gurus and leaders, demonstrate the magnificence of rituals and costumes, display sacred books and texts, explore a journey to self-discovery, encompass spiritual dreams, signs, and symbols, or express Spirituality in modern life.
