fotofoto gallery of Huntington, New York invites all photographers (18 and older) to submit images created on a mobile phone.
Our juror, Karen Klinedinst, will select approximately 30 images to be included in a month-long exhibition August 27 through September 19th 2026 at fotofoto gallery.
E L I G I B I L I T Y
The competition is open to photographers 18 years of age or older, excluding members of fotofoto gallery. Image capture must have been made with the camera on your phone. Any phone!
NOTE: No images created using Artificial Intelligence will be accepted.
All submitted images must not have been exhibited at fotofoto gallery before.
FOR ACCEPTED ENTRIES
Approximately 30 photographs will be chosen for a 4-week exhibition in August / September 2026. Upon completion of the jury process, images will be printed by fotofoto gallery.
No need for you to print, frame or ship your work. The exhibition will be installed salon-style in our beautiful gallery space
ABOUT FOTOFOTO GALLERY
fotofoto gallery, formed in 2003, is the oldest fine art photography gallery on Long Island. The photography collective exhibits photographers with independent vision, focus and purpose and is dedicated to encouraging and promoting the artistic development of its members and the greater photographic community.
Located in the heart of Huntington, NY, fotofoto gallery hosts an extensive calendar of members' solo and group exhibitions, workshops, salons, special events and competitions including Pop-up Shows, Your Best Shot, Phone-ography, Invitationals and National Open-Photography Competitions and Exhibitions.
We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
ABOUT THE JUROR
Karen Klinedinst is a lens-based artist exploring themes of place, our relationship with nature, and the environmental impact we have on the world around us. Through digital, analog and alternative photographic processes, she creates images and visual stories about time, memory, and the ephemerality of the natural world.
She has exhibited work at University of Maryland Global College, Center for Photographic Arts, Washington County Museum of Fine Arts (Maryland), Biggs Museum of American Art, Griffin Museum of Photography, Maine Museum of Photographic Art, and the Fort Wayne Museum of Art. Her work is in private and public collections including the Liriodendron Mansion, the National Park Service, and the Fort Wayne Museum of Art.
Karen was an artist-in-residence at the Catskills Center for Conservation and Development, a National Park Service artist-in-residence at Acadia National Park, Maine, and a PLAYA artist-in-residence in Summer Lake, Oregon. She is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art.
FEES AND DEADLINES
FEES: 5 images - $40. Images 6 -15 may be submitted for an additional charge of $5 per image.

Notification of Acceptance: August 21, 2026 by email
Exhibition Dates: August 27– September 19, 2026
Reception: Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 5-7pm

All entries must be submitted via the CaFE system. Mail-in entries will not be considered. Images must be 2048 pixels on the long side and conform to CaFE formatting standards. Instructions can be found in the CaFE help section.
