The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County is seeking temporary and/or permanent works for its annual public art installation, ArtScape. This year’s milestone exhibition marks ten years of ArtScape, and ArtScape 10 is celebrating a decade of public art in Fayetteville and Cumberland County. The Arts Council welcomes submissions of 3-D outdoor works, and we particularly encourage submissions from North Carolina artists. Artists are encouraged to explore themes of celebration, joy, and excitement through bright color, engaging form, or interactive play. Selected works will remain on display for approximately 15 months. This extended exhibition period ensures that the artworks become a meaningful part of the community's shared experience while reaching a broad and diverse audience.

Evaluation
ArtScape 10 submissions are evaluated by a panel composed of Arts Council Board of Trustees members, staff, and additional community members who represent Cumberland County and who have professional experience in arts, culture, marketing/cultural tourism, and public art. Panelists will evaluate submissions based on artistic excellence, safety and durability, and compatibility with available sites.
All panel members’ scores are averaged to produce an aggregate score with the top twenty-five (25) submissions recommended to the City’s Public Art Commission. Recommendations from the Public Art Commission will be provided to the City Manager for final approval.

To celebrate a decade of ArtScape, ten pieces will be selected for installation. Selected artists will be paid a one-year lease of up to $3,000.
