Artspiration Frederick is proud to invite Deaf, Hard of Hearing (HOH), and Children of Deaf Adults (CODA) artists working in all media to show their work in Eyes and Hands, an exhibition celebrating Deaf Awareness Month. The exhibition will be on display in the the Artspiration Frederick Gallery from 
September 5 - 27, 2026.

Artists are encouraged to submit original work in any visual medium, including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, fiber art, ceramics, mixed media, digital art, and other forms of creative expression. The exhibition seeks to showcase a diverse range of artistic voices, perspectives, techniques, and subject matter.

Join us in this wonderful exhibition honoring the creativity, perspectives, and experiences of the Deaf community.

Procedures & Requirements:

• All entries must be completed online by 11:59 EST on July 31, 2026 through CaFÈ. You will need to set up a free account at callforentry.org
• A nonrefundable $35 entry fee is required at the time of application.
• All 2-dimensional works must be properly framed and a wire for hanging must be attached securely to the back. Absolutely no sawtooth hangers.
• ARTWORK IDENTIFICATION
  All accepted work must have a label SECURELY attached to the back (2D) or base (3D) of the artwork, with the following information:
  - Artist Name / Title of Art / Price
• Please make sure that your prices are correct in your CaFE portfolio. We will not accept price changes once a piece is entered for application to this exhibit.
• You must submit a high-resolution image (300 dpi) image for the jury process. AF will use submitted images of accepted works for promotional materials for this exhibit.
• Shipping materials will be kept for returning shipped work. Only boxes, crates and bins with proper labels including the artist’s contact information and the name of the piece will be kept for repackaging. Boxes and such may include paper & wraps. NO PACKING PEANUTS PLEASE
• Works left at AF more than 30 days past the pick-up dates (September 1, 2026) become the property Artspiration Frederick, will no longer be stored, and written proof of charitable contribution will be issued for its stated value. Open to visual artists 16 years and older residing in Mid Atlantic region.
• Artists may submit up to 3 works. Works must not have been previously exhibited at Artspiration Frederick.
