We do not ask for a bio, CV, or artist statement.

If you have a website or Instagram, feel free to include it — we love to learn more about you.

Image: High-quality, well-lit images only. Crop to cut out background and provide only the artwork in the image.  Digital image files must conform to the requirements as listed on the CaFE site. The maximum file size is 5MB. Photo sizes of at least 3MB are recommended, but not required, in order to ensure sufficient quality and detail for the jury process.

Publication of winners

Winners, runners-up and finalists will be posted to the Soul of Artists online exhibition, website and social media sites. All artists retain right of ownership over their work and can display and promote it at their own discretion.

What Kind of Art is Eligible:

All subjects and techniques are honored and will be considered.

Must be original two-dimensional (2D) works. 

Mediums include but not limited to:

Painting

Drawing

Photography

Digital

Mixed media

Fiber and quilt art

One-of-a-kind prints

Collage

Story/picture books

Mural

Work in any material which is primarily 2D in orientation - Ceramics, plastic, bronze and a multitude of sculptural materials are OK, as long as the end result is primarily 2D

Art that has previously won cash prizes in other juried contests is not eligible

No size limits, No shipping — this is an online exhibition

Any artwork that is not primarily 2D in orientation

Who Can Apply:

Open to all artists aged 18+ who create original 2D artworks

Global call - Artists from every country and culture are invited to submit

Artists at every career stage are welcome

Who Can Not Apply:

Past winners of $2000 Soul of Artist awards are not eligible to apply again.

Runners-up from the Soul of Artists 3rd International online exhibition are not eligible in this round.
