Eligibility Criteria
- NEWS Members may submit 1 or 2 paintings. Only 1 painting per artist may be accepted.
- Non-Members may submit 1 painting.
- Paintings must be executed within the last 4 years and not previously exhibited in a NEWS International, National or Member Exhibition.
- This is a National show. We are not accepting International submissions at this time.
- Watercolor on Paper, Yupo and Aquaboard are allowed
- Minor amounts of pencil or opaque white allowed
- Minor Amounts of Gouache and Watercolor pencil allowed only if used in fluid form
- No Acrylic, Casein, Egg Tempera, Ink, Magic Marker, Charcoal, Pastel, Collage or any form of Print or Reproductions
- Original artist's work only. No class work or work done under instructor’s supervision. No copies of other artists’ work or use of other artist’s photographs.
- No work generated with or assisted by AI (Artificial intelligence)
- NEWS may rescind the acceptance of work where Prospectus rules have not been followed or work is misrepresented and entrants will not be refunded.
- Accepted artwork cannot be displayed in other online or in-person shows during the duration of the exhibition.
