Plano Art Association 125 Show 2026 is open to all artists 18 years and older living within 125 miles of Plano, Texas. The exhibition runs Thursday, August 6 through Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Ten 20 Art Gallery, 1001 14th Street, Suite #200, Plano, Texas 75074.

Categories for Awards: Select the category that best describes each of your entries using the pull-down on the entry form.
• 2D Artwork, Objective (Artwork with recognizable subject matter, regardless of degree of stylization)
• 2D Artwork, Non-Objective & Abstract (Artwork with a pure formal composition with no reference to the observable world plus work derived from observable sources but significantly transformed such that the subject may or may not be legible)
• 3D Artwork (Work with height, width, and depth that can be viewed and interpreted from all sides and angles. Includes wall-hung art 5 inches deep or more)
• 2D Artwork, Photography, Traditional & Digital (Original photographs of any age may be used to create new works of art within the years specified in this prospectus.)
A single 2D entry can be a Grouping of two (2) to four (4) 2D works of art that tell a story or convey a message through their interaction. The grouping must meet all of the requirements for a single-item 2D entry.

Awards:
HEB Best of Show: $1,000 and a certificate.
Each of four categories: First Place, $500 and certificate; Second Place, $300 and certificate; Third Place, $200 and certificate.
Merit Awards: Awards of merchant gift cards or merchandise totaling over $1,000 across the four categories.
Plano Art Association (PAA) reserves the right to merge entries in a category receiving 10 or fewer invitations to the show into another category for the purpose of judging for awards.

Jurors:
Amy Lewis Hofland, Senior Director Crow Museum of Asian Art of The University of Texas at Dallas
Director Amy Lewis Hofland leads the Crow Museum of Asian Arts in Dallas, Texas, the preeminent museum dedicated to the arts and cultures of Asia in the southern United States. On staff since the museum’s inception in 1998, Hofland’s footprint can be found throughout the museum, including her recruitment and hire of leading Asian art scholars launching the Crow Museum as the first “wellness museum” in the United States; and molding the museum’s award-winning education programs to emphasize collaboration and collective learning helping to draw over 100,000 museum visitors a year.
Amy is pursuing a doctorate at Southwestern College in Visionary Practice and Regenerative Leadership exploring the relationship between art and compassion. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Arts degree in art education from the University of North Texas, where she was part of the distinguished Marcus Fellow program. In addition to her work at the Crow Museum, Hofland is a noted author, speaker and community leader serving on various board leadership positions in the Dallas-Fort Worth community. She is also working to create Dallas as a City of Compassion and recently formed and co-chairs The Compassion Council for the Dallas Arts District.
Michael O’Keefe, Visual Artist working in Sculpture, Drawing, and Painting
Michael O’Keefe lives and works as an artist in Dallas, Texas, working in the fields of drawing, painting, and sculpture. O’Keefe is represented locally by Valley House Gallery and Sculpture Garden, and in New England by On Center Gallery in Princeton, MA.
O’Keefe received a Bachelor degree in Art and Art History from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA after studying at the Maryland Institute College of Art and the International School of Art in Umbria, Italy. Following his undergraduate education O’Keefe continued his art education at The New York Studio School. O’Keefe received an MFA from Southern Methodist University.
O’Keefe has taught drawing and sculpture as an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University, Brookhaven College, Eastfield College, and Collin College. Currently, he teaches and lectures at The O’Keefe Studio Center, an independent teaching studio in Richardson, TX, founded by O’Keefe in 2013.
Olivia Ogren-Hrejsa , Visual Artist and Professional Photographer
Olivia Ogren-Hrejsa is an exhibiting visual artist and professional photographer whose work explores storytelling through photography and multimedia installation. With more than twenty years of experience as a photojournalist and portrait photographer, she brings a unique perspective that blends technical excellence, narrative depth, and artistic vision.
Olivia holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Iowa State University and a Master of Photography degree from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). She is an active member of PPA, Texas PPA, and Dallas PPA.
Her photography-based artwork and multimedia installations have been exhibited throughout North Texas, including multiple appearances in the annual Art in the Atrium exhibition presented by the City of Frisco and a multimedia installation exhibited at Collin College. Her work is regularly accepted into juried exhibitions and has earned numerous honors, including designation as a Texas PPA Platinum Photographer in 2026, Honorable Mentions in the Americana and Fashion categories of the Black & White Spider Awards, First Place awards in photography categories at Artrageous 2023 and Fresh Start 2024, and the Art That Speaks to Me Award at Artrageous 2025. She has also received recognition in regional, national, and international photography and fine art competitions. In addition to exhibiting her work, Olivia regularly serves as a juror for art and photography competitions, evaluating works across a variety of media and artistic styles.
Her experience as both an exhibiting artist and juror provides a balanced understanding of artistic merit, technical execution, creativity, and visual impact.
Olivia is also actively involved in arts advocacy and nonprofit leadership, serving as Secretary of the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco and as Community and Development Director for Garage Arts Project. Through her artistic practice and community service, she remains committed to supporting artists, fostering creative growth, and strengthening public engagement with the arts.
Olivia Ogren-Hrejsa and her family happily reside in Frisco, Texas. When Olivia isn’t working or volunteering, she can be found digging in her garden or playing Mahjong with neighborhood friends.

Artwork Requirements: Entries must be the artist's original artwork and must not be a copy of another artist's work (including photography). Entries must have been created in years 2021-2026, and must not have been exhibited in a previous Plano Art Association 125 Show. AI generated entries are prohibited.
Submitted images of 2D artwork should not show the mat and frame unless they are integral parts of the 2D artwork itself. An image of a grouping of 2D works submitted as a single entry should show the pieces arranged in their preferred placement and include the mats and frames, if applicable.
Each artwork must be labeled on the back with the artist's name, phone number, the title of the artwork, its category, and price; put NFS if not for sale.
Artwork must be family friendly. PAA reserves the right to reject an entry, even at the point of delivery for display.
Size Requirements: 2D entries must not exceed 60" in width and 84" in length (including frame). A grouping of 2, 3, or 4 related 2D works submitted as one 2D entry must also meet this size requirement. 3D entries must be able to fit through a standard 36" doorway and weigh a maximum of 200 pounds. Contact PAA at info@planoartassociation.org if you want to request a waiver.
Display: Wall-hanging artwork must be delivered ready to hang with D-rings and wire. Artwork not ready to hang or equipped with only saw-tooth hangers will not be accepted. Plexiglass is preferred on framed, fragile media except for charcoal and pastels, which require glass. Artwork on unframed canvas must be painted on the sides. For 3D art, please advise if you intend to use one of the gallery's pedestals or if you will provide one for your piece. Artwork selected and installed must remain in the exhibit until the exhibit ends, including artwork sold during the show.

Fee Details: The fees are $40.00 for an artist's first entry and $20.00 each for a second and third entry. PAA members will receive a discount code of 25% to apply toward the fee for each of their entries. Remember to apply the discount code for each entry. Members not receiving the discount code should contact info@planoartassociation.org to get the code before submitting their entries. Non-members wanting to get the member code can join online at www.planoartassociation.org/join. If you did not receive your code, contact info@planoartassociation.org to request it.
Sales: Plano Art Association will handle all sales and retain 30% of the purchase prices as a donation from the artist to PAA. Artwork sold during the show will be marked as SOLD and removed from the online catalog, but it will remain on display until the pick-up date. Shipment, delivery, or pick up of artwork sold during the show will be the sole responsibility of the selling artist. The selling artist must notify PAA at info@planoartassociation.org if the buyer will be picking up a sold artwork, and the buyer must show proof of purchase in order to remove the artwork.
Show Closing Procedures: Plano Art Association does not provide shipping services or pay shipping expenses. All sold and unsold artwork in the show must be picked up after the show has ended. If you cannot pick up your artwork yourself, you must notify PAA at info@planoartassociation.org to inform us of your alternative arrangements for picking up the artwork. PAA will not be responsible for storage of artwork after the show closes.
