Light/Shadow

Fig Tree Gallery, The longest-running, member-sponsored art gallery in California is pleased to invite OUTSIDE artists to submit work for the upcoming juried exhibition, Light/Shadow September 3-27, 2026.

The exhibition welcomes submissions of 2-D and 3-D work exploring the broad concept of light and its counterpart.  Jurors are interested in unexpected perspectives and relationships on this theme.  Stark opposites or subtle value shifts, color relationships or cast shadows.  Visual expositions on the dualities of nature and seasons? Texture? Textiles? Text?  Sure, why not?!

PLEASE NOTE - LIGHT/SHADOW is an in-person exhibition, premiering during ARTHOP September 3.  An additional reception will be held Saturday September 5 that will be open to the public.

Selected artists will be considered for membership.
