Resilient Sea

TITLE: Resilient Sea

The theme for this exhibit is Resilient Sea. We are looking for work that inspires optimism and activism amid a changing climate here on Cape Cod. Note, 2D work only please. Drop off only.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

"Resilient Sea"

The work accepted into the show will be up during Deb Ehrens' Ocean Fever exhibition. Deb worked with scientists Caroline Ummenhofer and Svenja Ryan from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution to create beautiful 3D sculptures that merge art and science to make work that is both stunning and informative. She conveys powerful messaging about our disrupted climate in an unforgettable visual and physical experience. The WHOI scientists she has collaborated with have researched how changing climates will affect our oceans. This work directly involves the communities on Cape Cod that are surrounded by coastline. This exhibit will hit close to home for many.

As part of that exhibition, we are calling on our fellow local artists to submit their 2D pieces to hang in our adjacent galleries. The theme for this exhibit is Resilient Sea. We are looking for work that inspires optimism and activism amid a changing climate here on Cape Cod. Throughout history, art has been used to galvanize support and bring attention to important issues. The work will be up during Earth Day and will serve as a powerful reminder that when we align together, we can inspire hope.
