Fiber + : Material Expansion

Fiber +: Material Expansion- This juried exhibition invites artists who use fiber as a primary material while extending it through additional media - wire, paint, wood, found objects, digital processes or sculptural form. This exhibition explores material expansion and the evolving language of fiber in contemporary art.

Figure + Material Expansion- Fiber+ invites artists to use fiber as the primary material while incorporating additional elements such as wire, paint, wood, found objects, digital processes, or sculptural structure. Fiber should remain the main focus of the work, with added materials supporting and enhancing it — not overpowering it.

This exhibition is about pushing fiber beyond traditional expectations. We are looking for work that explores new combinations of materials, expands into three-dimensional space, or blends hand processes with unexpected techniques. The added materials should have a clear purpose and deepen the meaning or structure of the piece,

Fiber+ is not about decoration. It is about thoughtful expansion — honoring fiber while exploring how far it can go.
