Ringholz Art Supply Awards 2026

ATTENTION: The first 100 applications have been received for 2026!  The call is closed. Please apply in 2027!

Amy Ringholz is a 48 year old contemporary wildlife and landscape painter from Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

After receiving several art awards and scholarships in college many years ago, she gained the confidence to pursue her dream of becoming a full time artist.  These accolades changed everything for her.  She not only felt the honor of being recognized, but the courage to trust herself and pursue her art.

To return this gift, Amy started The Ringholz Art Supply Awards in 2009 to encourage visual artists of ALL AGES to go after their own dreams in art.

$1000 awards will be distributed after 6/1/2026 to five artists that through this application highlight their hard work ethic, talent and heart.  Amy firmly believes that dreams are attainable if you have these three qualities.  Applicants will be encouraged to give forward and give back using their gift.

...

We are founded in the love of art and the heart of giving back.  Rallying together in the support and pursuit of dreams one gift at a time.  Giving artists the encouragement they need to be great. Rewarding hard work, talent, and heart.

Founded in Jackson Hole, Wyoming by Amy Ringholz, The Ringholz Art Supply Awards were built to recognize the needs of artists of all ages to be supported in their artistic pursuits.  Her team aims to find the people that demonstrate the qualities that she has found has brought her to a solid career in the arts.

First, the RASA is looking for HARD WORK.  Putting your time in with your medium is what takes artists from playing around with their art to their firm commitment to the relationship.  This characteristic is imperative when trying to make a name for yourself in the arts.  Secondly, TALENT.  You can recognize talent in someone's passion for their work.  When an artist loves what they are making, you can see it in the art.  Talent is nurtured and pushed and expanded upon and simplified, and strongly coincides with the time and dedication in the studio.  Lastly, RASA, pushes the HEART of the artist.  It is important to remember where you came from as an artist, and to be grateful to those who encouraged you to begin.  It is equally important to use your gift at some point for the greater good.

The RASA exists because one person had the idea to share the vision, to believe in the dream, and to return the favor.  One small organization can do great things.  Anything can happen when one person believes in another.

We thank you for applying, and will inform everyone on who the winners are this year on June 1st 2026!

For those applicants who have NOT won a RASA in the past: please answer the questions thoroughly and thoughtfully, submit FIVE examples of your work, and include your artist statement. The first 100 applicants will be able to apply, and then the call will close and 5 winners will be selected on June 1, 2026.

You must be a United States citizen, but ALL AGES are welcome to apply!
