Rosewood Arts Center's 20th Annual HWD Juried Sculpture Exhibition

Rosewood Arts Center announces a call to artists in Ohio and surrounding states to participate in the 20th annual HWD Juried Sculpture Exhibition with the Kettering Health Art Gallery at Rosewood Arts Center. HWD (Height x Width x Depth) is the area's only gallery exhibition devoted exclusively to sculpture. This is a regional call open to artists from Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Entries must be original works in sculpture (3-D), completed within the last four years.

ELIGIBILITY

Artists may submit up to 3 different works of art in one application.  The application for all three works of art should be submitted at full price of $25. 

• Entrants may submit up to three works of art per entry.
• Entrants may provide one image per artwork, any detail images will be recorded as a separate artwork. 
• All types of three-dimensional media are accepted including wood, fiber, stone, metal, glass and mixed media
• Artwork must be created within the last four years
• Artists must be residents of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania or West Virginia

Artists are to submit up to three different pieces of art per application.  The first application should be submitted at full price of $25.

ENTRY PROCEDURE
Jury is done from digital files. A non-refundable entry fee of $25 for up to three artworks must accompany each entry. Multiple entries are permitted.
Accepted artworks must be ready to hang/install upon arrival at Rosewood, and must be labeled with artist’s name and artwork title on the piece or its packaging.

CLOSING RECEPTION
A reception will take place on Saturday, September 12, 1pm  – 3pm at the Kettering Health Art Gallery at Rosewood Arts Center. All artists and the general public are invited to attend. Awards will be announced at 2:30pm.

AWARDS AND SALES
Awards totaling $1,100 will be distributed at the discretion of the juror. The Gallery encourages sales, for which the City of Kettering Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department retains a 30% commission.

LIABILITY
Every precaution is taken in handling exhibiting artwork. All work is insured during the installation process and while the work is on display. The Gallery Coordinator reserves the right to reject work if it differs from the work presented in the original application, violates any conditions set forth in this prospectus, or is unsafe to display for any reason. Artists who are shipping their work are responsible for shipping charges both ways. Return shipping must be pre-paid with a pre-paid label through UPS or FedEx. If no such arrangements are made, the artwork will not be returned. All wall pieces must include proper hanging materials or instructions. Participating artists must agree to be bound by the Gallery Group Exhibition Agreement.

AGREEMENT
Submission of an entry to the HWD regional sculpture competition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant to all the conditions set forth in this prospectus. Rosewood Arts Center reserves the right to reproduce images of accepted entries for publicity purposes.

REQUIRED
Artist must agree to the Gallery Group Exhibition Agreement to participate in a Rosewood Arts Center group exhibition.

Application fee of $25

Up to 3 pieces of art may be submitted.

Adult artists residing in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Kentucky or West Virginia.
