Rosewood Art Center's 32nd Annual The View Landscape Exhibition

Rosewood Arts Center announces a call for entries for the 32nd annual The View, a juried exhibition for Ohio artists presenting landscape or land imagery, environmental themes and world issues. 

The 32nd annual The View is a juried exhibition for Ohio artists presenting landscape or land imagery, environmental themes and world issues. Entries must be original works in any media (2-D or 3-D), completed within the last four years. Jurying will take place from digital images. Work previously exhibited at Rosewood is not eligible.  

Jury is done from digital files. A non-refundable entry fee of $25 for up to three artworks must accompany each entry. Multiple entries are permitted. Artists may submit three artworks per application, and include up to 2 images or video as details if relevant. Jurying will be done on the first three images submitted, additional artworks will not considered but clearly labeled details are accepted.

The juror for The View this year is Rebecca Foley. Rebecca Foley is a gallery director, curator, and photographic artist based in Dayton, OH. Her artwork explores themes of nature and family and bridges digital and historical photographic methods and has been exhibited throughout the United States. She received her MFA in Photography from Indiana University and her BA in Studio Art and English from Rice University. She was previously a Professor of Art and the director of the Potter Art Gallery at Missouri Western State University. She is currently the director of the Robert and Elaine Stein Galleries at Wright State University.

Awards totaling $1,100 will be selected by the exhibition juror and announced at the gallery reception. The exhibit runs from June 8 through July 18, 2026.

ARTWORK DROP-OFF/SHIPMENTS DUE:
Saturday, May 23, 2026 12 pm – 3 pm
Tuesday, May 26, 2026 12 – 8 pm

EXHIBITION:
June 8 – July 18, 2026

RECEPTION:
Saturday, July 18, 2026 1 – 3 pm

ARTWORK PICK-UP:
July 18, 2026 3 – 4 pm (following reception)
July 20, 2026 12 – 8 pm

ELIGIBILITY

• Entrants may submit up to three works of art per entry. Multiple entries are permitted
• All media considered
• Artwork must be created within the last four years
• Artists must be residents of Ohio
• Works previously exhibited at Rosewood Gallery are not eligible

ENTRY PROCEDURE
Jury is done from digital files. A non-refundable entry fee of $25 for up to three artworks must accompany each entry. Multiple entries are permitted. Accepted artworks must be ready to hang/install upon arrival at Rosewood Arts Center, and must be labeled with artist’s name and artwork title on the piece or its packaging.

AWARDS AND SALES
Awards totaling $1,100 will be distributed at the discretion of the juror. Rosewood Arts Center encourages sales, for which the City of Kettering Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department retains a 30% commission.

LIABILITY
Every precaution is taken in handling exhibiting artwork. All work is insured during the installation process and while the work is on display. The Gallery Coordinator reserves the right to reject work if it differs from the work presented in the original application, violates any conditions set forth in this prospectus, or is unsafe to display for any reason. Artists who are shipping their work are responsible for shipping charges both ways. Return shipping must be pre-paid with a pre-paid label through UPS or FedEx. If no such arrangements are made, the artwork will not be returned. All wall pieces must include proper hanging materials or instructions. Participating artists must agree to be bound by the Gallery Group Exhibition Agreement 

1 - 3 artworks per one entry.  

Completed entries (entry form, digital images, and non-refundable entry fee of $25 for up to 3 works +2 details) must be submitted through the CallforEntry.org website.

Artists must reside in Ohio to be eligible.
