ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

What happens when fire, earth, and imagination collide with the mysteries of Mars?

Curator

Anne Thiam

Anne Thiam is a ceramic artist whose work distills the essence of lived experience into sculptural form. Shaped by her years in Senegal, Spain, and the Caribbean, her practice explores how environments influence the ways we thrive, struggle, and evolve. Thiam studied under Christine Federighi at the University of Miami, earning her BFA in ceramics with minors in art history and printmaking—fields that continue to inform her nuanced approach to form and narrative.

Drawing inspiration from the natural world, Thiam’s sculptures investigate the impressions we leave behind and those left upon us. Through a balance of vulnerability and strength, her work seeks to reveal the subtle legacies of place, memory, and human resilience.
