ANYTHING GOES invites artists to bring whatever work feels most alive right now—no theme, no guardrails, no predetermined mood. If it hits with presence, tension, humor, oddity, clarity, or raw instinct, we want to see it. Painting, sculpture, photography, installation, video, textiles, ceramics, collage, digital work, sound, mixed media—anything you make is fair game. Show us the piece you’ve never found the right home for or the one that still surprises you. Located in Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe, The Lab offers strong visibility through First Fridays and ongoing exhibitions. For this show, you set the terms. Anything truly goes.
ANYTHING GOES is an open call with no theme, no constraints, and no prescribed way to respond. This exhibition is built to hold a wide range of work, from the quiet and considered to the bold, awkward, unresolved, or confrontational. If you’ve been waiting for a context that doesn’t ask you to translate, explain, or soften your instincts, this is it. The Lab on Santa Fe resides in the center of Denver's most popular Art District on Santa Fe Drive where First Friday Art Crawls attract thousands of attendees.
Submit the piece that feels most like you right now. That might mean something formally tight and restrained, or something impulsive, messy, and hard to pin down. Work that leans poetic, gentle, or intimate is just as welcome as work that pushes, provokes, or refuses comfort.
All mediums are welcome, including painting, sculpture, photography, illustration, video, sound, digital work, fiber art, mixed media, collage and beyond. There is no hierarchy of style or scale here—only the opportunity to place a wide range of voices in the same room and let the contrasts do the work.
If your practice lives on the edges, lean in. If it lives in subtlety, trust that too. Anything Goes means exactly that.
