Greetings From the Mother Road

This national juried exhibition celebrates the Centennial of Route 66 through contemporary visual art, highlighting both nostalgic echoes and modern creative interpretations of America’s most iconic highway. The exhibition engages the public in a nationally significant cultural milestone while providing artists with a high-visibility platform to share their work. By drawing visitors to Carthage—rich in Route 66 history—the exhibition fosters community pride, cultural connection, and tourism impact along the historic Mother Road.

In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Route 66, artCentral presents Greetings from the Mother Road, a national exhibition featuring artworks inspired by America’s most iconic highway. This juried exhibition invites artists across the country to reflect on the spirit, history, culture, and enduring mythos of Route 66—through painting, photography, mixed media, and beyond.

Artists may submit up to 3 works for jury consideration.

Sizes up to 36” x 48” maximum accepted. Larger works are considered with pre-approval.

If artwork is shipped, it must include a return shipping label. (Artwork will not be returned without the returned shipping label.)
