2026/2027 Outdoor Sculpture Gallery

The Art Around the Corner (AACF) Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the arts, enriching the community, and bringing fine art to Southern Utah. Since 2004, AACF has solicited, selected, and installed approximately 35 new pieces of public art each year in St. George, Utah. Nationally recognized artists lend their works to AACF, and all sculptures are offered for sale or lease to public and private collectors. To date, these efforts have generated more than $1,000,000 in sales.

The Art Around the Corner Foundation (AACF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the arts, enriching the community, and bringing fine art to Southern Utah. AACF works in close partnership with the City of St. George to curate its nationally recognized annual outdoor sculpture show.

Now in its 22nd year, AACF recruits world-class, professional artists to participate in a unique “art-on-loan” program. Each year, the Foundation solicits, selects, and installs approximately 35 new sculptures throughout Historic Downtown St. George, creating a vibrant cultural experience that is freely accessible to the public year-round.

Sculptures are exhibited for one year and are available for sale or lease to public and private collectors. More than $1,000,000 in sales have been generated to date, including acquisitions by local businesses and the City of St. George for its permanent collection.

AACF is grateful to the many participating artists whose work helps the Foundation fulfill its mission to support the arts, enrich the community, and bring fine art to the heart of Southern Utah.

The Art Around the Corner Foundation seeks original artwork that:

• Is visually engaging and encourages public interaction
• Is large-scale sculpture appropriate for public spaces (minimum 24 inches in height and/or diameter)
• Demonstrates strong imaginative design and content
• Incorporates durable, sustainable concepts and materials
• Does not require electricity, audio/visual technology, water, or other ongoing resources
• Meets all public safety, structural, and maintenance standards
• Complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and all other applicable laws, codes, and regulations

Artists may submit a maximum of two pieces for consideration. Only one piece of art may be submitted per application. If submitting two pieces, each sculpture will require a separate application and entry fee.

All application materials must be received no later than 11:59 PM MDT on November 7, 2025. Incomplete applications will not be considered. The applicant’s name must appear on all submitted materials.

Each application must include:

• Three to five photos of the specific sculpture being submitted. Do not submit a portfolio of past works—only images of the sculpture under consideration will be reviewed.
• If the sculpture is not yet complete, a detailed sketch is acceptable. the final photos of the accepted piece must be submitted no later than January 31, 2026.
• Title and description of the submitted piece (150 words or less).
• Material, size, and weight of the piece.
• Artist biography and headshot for use on AACF’s website and promotional materials (bio must be 150 words or less—longer bios will not be accepted).
• Entry fee: $25 per application.

Eligibility Criteria
This program is open to all artists regardless of race, creed, gender, gender identity or variance, sexual orientation, national origin, age, religion, marital status, political opinion or affiliation, or mental or physical disability.

Artists may submit a maximum of two pieces for consideration; however, only one work per artist will be selected for exhibition. Each artist selected will receive a $1,000 stipend. To be considered, artists must demonstrate prior experience creating work of comparable scope and scale.

All materials must be able to withstand Southern Utah’s variable climate, which ranges from 25°F in the winter to 115°F in the summer. Sculptures must be at least 24 inches in height and/or diameter, structurally sound, and sturdy enough to withstand public interaction, including children climbing on or touching the work. Sculptures must be free of sharp edges or other hazardous elements.

All submissions must be original works created by the artist. A $25 entry fee is required for each submission. Only entries received online through CaFÉ (callforentry.org) will be considered.
