Pray the Gay Away

Not Shockboxx (notshockboxx.com) invites artists to submit work for Pray the Gay Away — a three-week exhibition taking aim at the absurdity and hypocrisy of so-called “conversion therapy” and other anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric. This is a middle finger (and maybe both hands) to the notion that queerness is something to be “fixed.” We want works that are loud, satirical, and unashamed — pieces that use wit, sarcasm, and fearless honesty to confront homophobia and celebrate queer identity.

If your art can roast bigotry, lampoon outdated beliefs, and make people laugh and think, we want it in this show.
