The Louisiana Percent for Art Program seeks qualifications from professional artists or artist teams for a site-specific, exterior public art installation at the new Origin Bank Center for Student-Athlete Success at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA.

The Origin Bank Center for Student-Athlete Success will provide world-class academic, wellness, and career development resources for student-athletes. It represents the next phase of the university’s long-term investment in student achievement and was made possible by the largest corporate gift in Louisiana Tech University’s history.

The commissioned artwork will be permanently installed at the entrance of the Origin Bank Center for Student-Athlete Success and should reinforce Louisiana Tech’s identity, campus pride, and athletic tradition. The tone should be bold, dignified, and resonant.

The selection committee has expressed a strong preference for a depiction of the Louisiana Tech Bulldog mascot, consistent with existing campus sculptures. Artists are expected to produce a realistic and recognizable rendering of the bulldog, honoring the visual tradition associated with game-day rituals and university identity.
