The Human Condition

The Lab on Santa Fe, existing in Colorado’s most popular art district, is looking for work that aims to tackle the human condition. Those that live in this state are some of the luckiest individuals on the planet. Unfortunately, merging eternally with nature is impossible. We are stuck in our human situation. Life is a mess; severe and humorous; tremendous and theatrical; tender and psychotic. The art submitted needs to center around the mess and the stress. Pieces that center on the beauty of nature will not be accepted. We want attitude, swagger, arrogance and ignorance. Leave your false humility behind and do not be afraid to look ugly; marvel at your own misery. Nothing could be braver. If accepted, your work will be seen by countless eyes on the First Friday of December. Our gallery sells a tremendous amount of art. All styles and mediums qualify. Everything from the literal to the abstract.
