A Glimpse into American AI Art

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a leading determinant in people’s current surroundings, where technology shapes how we live, communicate, and create. A growing number of artists are incorporating AI as a collaborative tool to enhance their artistic practices.

The subject of AI-generated art is still very controversial,. As gallery owners and as artists ourselves who do not use AI in our artistic practices, we have decided nevertheless to showcase AI-generated art online on Artsy to enable viewers to see and decide for themselves whether they believe that AI is worthwhile in artistic practice. We wonder whether viewers will be able to engage emotionally with the works we present and whether their reaction will be similar to the kind of reaction elicited by human created art.

We invite artists who make art with the help of AI to submit their works for this online exclusive group exhibition on Artsy. The show will include AI works by up to 25 artists and will run for two months.
