Lake Mary Heathrow Festival of the Arts 2027

The 40th Annual Lake Mary Heathrow Festival of the Arts - a Premier Fine Arts Festival
March 6th & 7th, 2027, located in Colonial Town Park just west of I-4 in Lake Mary.  

The Lake Mary Heathrow Festival of the Arts  is a 501 (c) (3) Non-profit organization.  Festival proceeds, sponsorships and donations are awarded as scholarships to Seminole County School District graduating seniors aspiring to become artist..

For our out-of-town participants,  lodging may be acquired at both the nearby Marriott and Westin hotels, within walking distance to the Art Festival

 

LOCATED AT Colonial Town Park Lake Mary!! Between Daytona Beach and Orlando off I-4, take the Exit 101  46A for Heathrow (West) towards International Parkway, Colonial Town Center Park is on the right at the intersection of 46A and International Parkway. Judging: 
Awards are given based on the Judges' scoring of each artist's body-of-work as displayed. Judging will be conducted on Saturday morning by three (3) independent judges. Judges will use a 1-5 scoring scale. No individual body of artwork will be removed from the booth by judges.  Awards are not based on category.  We will be awarding over $11,000 in prize money. 

Set-Up and check-in hours: Friday, March 5, 2027 – 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM (strictly adhered to)
Saturday, March 6, 2027 – 6:30 AM until 8:30 AM

Festival Hours: Saturday, March 6, 2027 – 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM
Sunday, March 7, 2027 – 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM

APPLICATION FEE: Application fee is $30.00 for all applicants. Applications will be reviewed by committee and a determination to invite and category. All application fees are paid through  the ZAPP portal and are non- refundable. 

LATE FEE: Any application received and accepted after the February 6, 2027 deadline will be accessed a $50.00 late feein addition to the $30.00 application fee.   

JURIED ARTISTS
All artists are invited to be juried in our festival.  All Juried artists pay a booth fee of $275 for a single booth or $550 for a double booth space. Artist is limited to one (1) category entry. Fee includes booth space, artist and one guest breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, free link to your website from the Lake Mary Heathrow Festival of the Arts website.

NON-COMPETITIVE CRAFTERS
Our non-competitive section will be in a separate area.  Crafters are required to pay the $30.00 non-refundable application fee and booth spaces are $175.00 per space and are limited to one entry category, however they may request double spaces at a cost of $350.

Booth assignments will be posted on ZAPP two weeks prior to the festival.  A posted QR code will assist attendees in finding artists and crafters, if they paid before the application deadline.
 

RULES & REGULATIONS

1. DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2027, and the DEADLINE FOR PAYMENT IS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2027 
           Any payments received after the February 13, 2027, if accepted, the artist location will not be shown on the map and will be located further from the center of the festival.

ALL APPLICANTS ARE LIMITED TO ONE MEDIUM PER BOOTH.
           
All entrants are required to submit four (4) photos of their work and one (1) of their booth and display.  A non-refundable application fee of $30.00 is required.  Once invited to apply, a booth fee of $175 is required for non-juried CRAFTERS and $275 booth and jury fee for JURIED ARTIST.  EXHIBITED WORK MUST BE REPRESENTATIVE OF IMAGES SUBMITTED FOR REVIEW.  

2.  Juried Artist award winners from the 2026 Lake Mary-Heathrow Festival of the Arts need not send photos if applying in the same category as the previous year's award. Only SUBMIT booth fee (Special rate of $250.00). Also, application fee ($30.00) will be waived for all 2026 LMHFOA award winners. The application fee waiver code will be mailed to all 2026 award winners by September 30, 2026.

3. All entrants will be notified of their acceptance or rejection no later than three weeks after applying. Applicants applying just prior to the deadline will be notified by February 20, 2027. Once accepted, the applicant is committed to the show. NO REFUNDS will be made due to cancellation by the Artist/Crafter, Inclement weather or other acts of man or nature that the Festival has no control over will not support cancellation by the applicants, unless the City of Lake Mary declares a State of Emergency (ie: hurricane, tornado, etc.)  Any risk and/or loss shall be borne by the exhibitor.

4. NO food, art supplies, picture frames, commercial photography, kits, commercial patterns, coin jewelry, soaps, candles, perfumes, lotions or works cast in commercial molds, mass produced items, imports, nudity of any source or buy/resell may be displayed or sold. NO EXCEPTIONS!!  Any Artist/Crafter may be asked to leave and forfeit their booth fee if they are found to have not abided by this festival rule.  (See #10)

5. All exhibitors must check in at Registration to obtain a Applicant packet before they set up their exhibit. A booth identification card must be attached to the upper left front corner of the display space at all times during the show. Artist/Crafter must provide booth frames, tents, and/or support structures. Booth assignments are at the sole discretion of the festival staff.

6. Registration will close promptly at 4:00 PM on Friday, March 5, 2027– there will be NO ONE PRESENT for late registration. Saturday setup is allowed between 6:30A.M. and 8:30 A.M. only. Minimal vehicular access will be permitted for Saturday set up hours. NO VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS WHILE THE FESTIVAL IS IN PROGRESS DUE TO SAFETY REGULATIONS. Artists and Crafters  will be allowed vehicular access to their booth space on saturday and Sunday after the festival ends in order to restock and  to breakdown and load their art and displays.

7. VEHICLES ON FESTIVAL GROUNDS:  ARTIST’S VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED ON SITE AT THE CLOSE OF DAY TO SECURE ARTWORK AND RESTOCK. However,  County/City regulations prohibit overnight parking on the premises.

8. Cancellations must inform the Festival Committee on or before Saturday, February 7, 2027.  If requesting credit for booth fee, reason for the cancellation must be submitted in writing. The reason will be reviewed and a determination if credit for a future festival will be rendered. Absolutely NO CASH REFUNDS will be given. No show artists/crafters risk disqualification from participation in any future LMH Arts Festivals. Any person closing his/her space before 4:00 P.M. Sunday may also be disqualified from future shows. Any artist/crafter attempting to close up their booth space and/or remove artwork without Festival authorization risks relinquishing ALL rights to prize money and continued participation in the current and future festivals.

9. ALL BOOTHS MUST BE ATTENDED AT ALL TIMES by artist.  Temporary booth-sitters will be available, if needed.  Reach out to a staff member if you need help.

10. Displays will be viewed by the Viewing Committee at intervals throughout the Festival. The viewing Committee shall have the sole discretion in requiring the removal of work that violates Festival rules. . All works must be for sale or available for commission. NO DISPLAYS CONTAINING MANUFACTURED – BUY/RESELL ITEMS or other ineligible items listed in # 4 above.  Artists/Crafters violating Festival rules may be asked to close down his/her booth. In such cases, no refunds will be forthcoming and the artist/crafter shall have no recourse.

11. Collection of the 7% Sales Tax on all sales is the sole responsibility of each exhibitor.

12. Regulations allow Service Animals according to ADA. All other pets are prohibited on the Festival site. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS.

13. No Tattoo Artist accepted. 

14.  Ribbons and awards from other shows may not be displayed.



 

BOOTH SETUP time will be allowed on Friday, March 5, 2027 from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M only. This will be the only time artists/crafters will be allowed vehicular access to their booth space to unload on Friday. Registration will close promptly at 4:00 PM – there will be NO ONE PRESENT for late registration. Saturday setup is allowed between 6:30 A.M. and 8:30A.M. only. Sunday setup is from 8:00AM to 9:30AM.  Minimal vehicular access will be permitted for Saturday set up hours. NO VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS WHILE THE FESTIVAL IS IN PROGRESS DUE TO SAFETY REGULATIONS. Artists/Crafters  will be allowed vehicular access to their booth space on Saturday and Sunday after the festival ends in order to breakdown and load their art and displays.  Breakdown on Sunday afternoon should commence at 4:00PM and finish by 7:00PM.  Artists are responsible for leaving their area clear of debris.

All artists/crafters will be assigned a 12' X 12' exhibit space. any display larger than 12' X 12' will require a double space. Tents should be water resistant and must include weights, securing all 4 sides and use substantial displays that withstand wind, crowds, and rain.  Tents should be properly secured after hours.  Electricity and water are not provided.  Only generators that are not noisy are allowed.  Minimum staff support will be available to assist artists/crafters with set-up and take-down.

SECURITY WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THE BOOTH SPACE ON FRIDAY, SATURDAY, AND SUNDAY. Nonetheless, LMHFOA cannot be held liable for any loss incurred by artists/crafters for any reason. Liability, property, and casualty insurance is available. We strongly suggest that you investigate this if you do not already have it. If you do, please provide a copy to LMHFOA one week prior to the event.

Once accepted into the festival and booth fees paid, no cash refunds. Credit may be given at the discreation of the committee depending on circumstances causing the request for a refund.
