Opportunity Summary
Arts in Action is a free, community-centered arts celebration returning to downtown Port Angeles after over a decade away. Originally launched in 1965, the festival ran for 49 years as a beloved summer tradition, transforming Laurel Street and then the City Pier into a vibrant corridor of art, music, and shared experience. For generations of residents and visitors, Arts in Action was a place to gather, discover creativity, and connect with one another in the heart of the city.
In 2026, Arts in Action returns under the stewardship of the Juan de Fuca Foundation for the Arts, honoring the event’s rich history while reimagining it for today’s community. The revival reflects both a respect for the festival’s legacy and a renewed commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and connection. In a time when many cultural experiences are increasingly costly or screen-based, Arts in Action restores the simple power of gathering together in person to celebrate creativity.
The event will take place August 1 and 2, 2026, on Laurel Street in downtown Port Angeles, utilizing the original festival footprint that longtime community members remember. Festivities will kick off the evening before, on Friday, July 31, with a free Concert on the Pier, setting the tone for a weekend rooted in shared experience and community pride.

General Information
SCREENING
We will screen all artisan categories and encourage all artisans to apply. We have a large amount of space to fill and encourage all vendors to apply!
IMPORTANT DATES:
Now thru July 15 - Rolling Jury: Approved applications will be notified and given priority space in the street fair. Applicants will be accepted per category to ensure an even representation of different artisan vendors. Applicants in highly popular categories may experience a delay in notification as compared to less represented categories.
July 15 - Application closes
July 17 - Final day to purchase booth space
July 31/August 1 - Vendor set up (by appointment only)
August 1 & 2 - Event Days
ARTIST AMENTITIES:
No commission is charged
Volunteers will be floating the street fair and available to watch booths so vendors can use the restrooms & grab lunch.
We provide roving security on Friday and Saturday nights. Arts in Action assumes no responsibility for stolen or damaged materials and strongly encourage vendors to secure items of value.

HOURS OF OPERATION
FEES PAID NON-REFUNDABLE
Submit 4 digital photos of your work and a photo of your booth. Photos will be kept on file. Items submitted to the jury must represent the different prices in your overall price range. Please label your photos with the product name and the item prices. All vendors must include photos.
INSURANCE
We will require a hold harmless agreement to be signed by all accepted vendors. We encourage you to also have insurance, but we will not require it and do not need to receive a copy of it prior to the festival.
- All booths must be open for business for the following hours:
- Saturday 11 am til 7 pm
- Sunday 11 am til 5 pm
- Vendors are expected to be present during all days of Arts in Action, follow the load-in/load-out instructions and contracted hours of operation.
- Failure to remain open during event hours will result in denial of future participation in Arts in Action, except for approved circumstances.
- Vendor load-in will be Friday, July 31 from 4 pm to 7 pm or Saturday, August 1st, in the morning before the event opens.
- Vendors' dogs and other pets are not allowed in or around the booths. We reserve the right to make exceptions for well behaved pets. Vendors must contact the street fair coordinator to arrange for furry friends.
- You must provide a cell phone number and be available after hours for emergency calls.
FEES PAID NON-REFUNDABLE
- There is a $15 non-refundable processing/jury/administrative fee.
- Once accepted into Arts in Action, the booth fee is non-transferable.

Booth Information
ARTISAN BOOTHS
Canopy “awnings” or extensions are allowed if they don't encroach on the required fire lane or neighboring booth spaces.
BOOTH SECURITY AND SAFETY
Booths must be covered and weighed down with a minimum of 25 lb weights on each leg. We regularly experience very high winds during our event. Booths may be left up overnight as there is roving security patrol, but merchandise must be secured. Arts in Action is not responsible for loss or damage.
Blue tarps are not allowed as booth shelters, but can be used to secure the booth at night.
- Standard Booth spaces are 10’ x 10’; cost $300
- Double Booth spaces are 10’ x 20’; cost $475
- Standard Booth spaces are 10’ x 10’; cost $400
- Double Booth spaces are 10’ x 20’; cost $575 (Limited number available)
- 10x10 Booth space for commerical lead generation booths; cost $1,000

Refund Policy
Full refunds will be offered to any cancelations received prior to the application closing, on July 15th. Cancelations received between July 15th and the beginning of the event will be refunded if the booth space is able to be filled and the vendor communicates promptly.
