Now entering its 6th season, 2nd Sundays on Mill Ave continues to grow as a vibrant community market experience in the heart of Downtown Tempe.

On select Sundays throughout the season, Mill Avenue transforms into a pedestrian-friendly marketplace featuring local artists, makers, small businesses, farmers, nonprofit organizations, and food vendors. Guests are invited to shop locally, enjoy brunch, discover live entertainment, and experience evolving community programming along one of Tempe’s most iconic streets.

Located in the center of Downtown Tempe, the Market at 2nd Sundays on Mill Ave is designed to celebrate creativity, entrepreneurship, and connection while supporting Arizona-based businesses and organizations.

VENDOR CRITERIA & SELECTION PROCESS
The Market at 2nd Sundays on Mill Ave prioritizes Arizona-based artists, creatives, makers, entrepreneurs, farmers, food producers, and nonprofit organizations. Whether you create handcrafted goods, grow produce, prepare packaged foods, or thoughtfully curate unique products, we are looking for vendors who contribute to a vibrant, high-quality, community-centered market experience.

If your business or organization aligns with the following categories, we encourage you to apply:

Artists & Creatives
Handcrafted, original, small-batch, vintage, upcycled, or artist-designed goods.

Small Businesses
Entrepreneurs who thoughtfully source, curate, alter, or create products with a distinct brand identity and market presence.

Farmers & Food Producers
Locally grown produce and Arizona-made edible products that arrive onsite pre-packaged.

Nonprofit Organizations
Community-focused organizations with active 501(c)(3) designation.
Market management reserves the right to approve vendors outside of these categories when necessary to support market needs, programming, or overall event balance.

PRODUCTS NOT ACCEPTED
To maintain the integrity and quality of the Market, the following businesses and product types are not permitted:

• Multi-level marketing companies (MLMs)
• Booths focused primarily on lead generation
• Mass-produced or wholesale buy/sell inventory
• Products containing offensive imagery or messaging
• Independent distributors
• Products with copyright infringement concerns
• Crafts assembled from commercial kits

MULTIPLE PRODUCT CATEGORIES
Vendors selling products across multiple mediums or categories may be required to submit separate applications for each category.
If approved for multiple categories, vendors may display and sell all approved products within a single booth space.

BOOTH SHARING
Booth sharing is not permitted. Collaborating artists may apply together only if the booth exclusively features collaborative work created by both parties. Both collaborators must be listed on the application, and each artist’s creative contribution must be clearly identified.

JURY PROCESS
All vendors are selected through a jury process.

Applications must include:

• A description of the products you intend to sell
• High-quality product photos
• At least one booth photo
• A valid AZ Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) License Number

Booth photos are required for all applicants. If you are new to markets and do not yet have a booth setup, we encourage you to create a mock setup at home, outdoors, or in another staging area. This helps us better understand your presentation style and product display plans.

The Market at 2nd Sundays on Mill Ave values vendors who create welcoming, visually engaging, and thoughtfully merchandised booth spaces.



When reviewing applications, the jury may consider:

• Product quality and originality
• Booth presentation and visual merchandising
• Product diversity within the overall market
• Brand identity and professionalism
• Active and engaged social media presence
• Overall contribution to the market experience

Because we strive to maintain a balanced and diverse market, applicants may occasionally be waitlisted or declined if a product category is already heavily represented.

Returning vendors may also be evaluated on:

• Attendance history
• Timeliness and communication
• Compliance with market policies
• Professionalism and collaboration with staff and neighboring vendors
• Participation in marketing efforts
• Contribution to the overall market atmosphere and guest experience

 

Please follow this link to read our entire handbook. It is the vendors responsibility to stay up to date on all rules and regulations set forth by the Market on Mill, City of Tempe, State, and Maricopa County Agencies. Vendors must also have any staff read this handbook as well. 

By submitting an application you are agreeing:

• That you have read the handbook and understand the expectations and regulations along with the legal information below. 
• That you understand that if accepted to the market, and the guidelines are not followed, you will not be asked back to the market this season or any future seasons.

While canopies are not required, if one is used it must be white. Branded tents will be considered on a case by case basis.  All tents must be weighted with 40lbs per leg-this is non-negotiable.

Application Fee: $15 - non refundable

Full Season Registration
$295 for the full season ($73.75 per market) when all four market dates are purchased by October 27, 2026.

Individual Market Registration
$90 per market.

Payment for each upcoming market closes the Monday prior to the event week.
Example: Vendors participating in the January 10 market must complete payment by January 4.
