The Louisiana Percent for Art Program seeks qualifications from artists or artist teams for an exterior, site-specific public art installation at the New Nursing & Allied Health Building on Baton Rouge Community College's Mid-City campus. This facility serves as a critical hub for healthcare education and workforce training in South Louisiana and symbolizes BRCC's deep commitment to community well-being, equity, and resiliency.

In 2023, BRCC broke ground on a new 92,800-square-foot Nursing and Allied Health Building. This state-of-the-art facility will support existing programs and provide space for expansion into emerging areas such as Respiratory Care, Physical and Occupational Therapy, and Athletic Training—ensuring that BRCC continues to meet the evolving healthcare needs of Louisiana’s communities.
The proposed artwork should integrate visually and materially with the building’s façade while offering a clear narrative presence. The installation site will be located at a key entry or gathering point, creating opportunities for high visibility and engagement.

This is a national call open to professional artists and artist teams (age 18+) with demonstrated experience in public art and large-scale installations. Applicants must have a proven ability to execute projects of similar scale, complexity, and visibility.
Artist teams must designate a lead contact.
Artists are limited to one submission, whether applying individually or as part of a team.
All submitted work must be original and completed within the past ten years. The Louisiana Percent for Art Program does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, gender identity, military status, sexual orientation, marital status, or physical ability.
