Opportunity Summary
8th Annual St. Louis Park Art Fair
We are excited to host our 8th annual event on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 10am-5pm. The event takes place under St. Louis Park's beautiful Recreational Outdoor Center. Our event brings together 90+ artisans and thousands of visitors to support the local art scene and celebrate community. Live music, entertainment, hands-on art projects and food trucks create an engaging environment for all.
We are a community focused event, commiteed to breaking barriers for involvement. To support that mission, we have a limited number of scholarships available for emerging artists to cover the booth fee, if accepted into the event and there is a financial need. Venue Details:
St. Louis Park is nestled in between Minneapolis, Edina, Golden Valley and Hopkins. Our covered, Recreational Outdoor Center (ROC) is near bustling retail businesses, condos, bike paths and adjacent to Wolfe Park. There is customer parking in the main Rec Center parking lot and plenty of street parking for visitors and artists. The floor of the venue is concrete– all tents MUST have 40lb weights on each leg to meet safety requirements.

- Deadline to Purchase Booth- August 7, 2026
- Deadline for Artist Cancellation - August 15, 2026 with 50% refund. No refunds for artist cancellations after August 22, 2026. If the event is canceled due to COVID-19, booth fees will be fully refunded. If the event is canceled due to inclement weather, the event will not be rescheduled and booth fees will not be refunded.

AWARDS
- Best in Show: This will be awarded to the artist whose art scores the highest average jury score. Art will be judged on process, creativity, originality, difficulty, and overall design.
- Award of Excellence: Three-five awards will be awarded to artists based on creativity, process, and overall design.
* Award-winning artists will be invited to participate in next year’s event as well as a waived application fee. The Best in Show winner will also receive a waived booth fee for the 2027 St. Louis Park Art Fair.
Jury Process:
Approximately 90 artists will be chosen to exhibit in the 2026 show. Artists and vendors will be selected via a competitive jury process based on scores within each category. The St. Louis Park Art Fair aims at selecting a well-balanced event with many mediums. We also select a small number of emerging and typically underrepresented artists as a way to support growth.
Each artist is required to submit a total of five (5) images (four images of CURRENT work and one booth/display image, if possible) along with a $25 NON-REFUNDABLE jury fee. Work shown in the images must be representative of current work and what the artist plans on selling at the event.
Collaborating artists (ie: “Artist Partner”) may apply to participate at the event, but only joint work may be shown and sold and both artists must be present for the duration of the event. Both artists must contribute to the creation of the art pieces.
Application Requirements
Rules:
- Artists must be onsite during the entire festival.
- Buy/Sell items are NOT allowed (ie: purchase already made jewlery and resell them as your own)
- Artists may only sell items represented in their application
- Artists are responsible for proper insurance and protection of work and setup. St. Louis Park Art Fair, Friends of the Arts, the City of St. Louis Park, and all parties involved are not responsible for loss or damages that may occur.
- All work must be for sale. Artists retain 100% of their sales and are responsible for the collection and reporting sales tax.
- No late arrivals or early exits.
- If placed under the ROC, a 10x10 tent is not required. However, if using a tent it must be able to withstand wind and rain. 40 pounds per tent leg is required. We cannot allow artists to use a tent that seems unsafe and have the right to ask it to be removed from the event. If you have any questions or doubts about the tent you plan to use, please ask in advance.

Booth Information
Booth Fee: $75 for St. Louis Park residents/artists; $100 for artists who reside outside of SLP.
All 10'x10' booth spaces will be on concrete. St. Louis Park Art Fair will assign vendors their booth space. Requests by artists will not be accommodated.
Set up for the event happens before the event, starting at 6am on 9/19/26. The alternative (and preferred) option, is to set up in the evening of 9/18/26. And over-night security will be provided.
