Stockholm Art Fair 2026

The Stockholm Art Fair has been a tradition in Stockholm, Wisconsin for over 50 years now and it is well loved by the artists and patrons who return each year. We will invite 95 quality artists and fine crafters to display their work in the beautiful Village Park on the shore of the Lake Pepin and the Mississippi River. Over 5000 people attend this event each year and we continually strive to encourage new patrons to discover our wonderful art fair. Mature trees provide shade over most of the grounds and there is usually a nice breeze off of the lake to help cool us on a warm July day. The layout is well organized so booths are easy for artists to access and spectators to locate. The visual arts are complemented with a diverse lineup of musical performers who entertain the crowds throughout the day. A host of fine-food vendors are also there to keep everyone happy and coming back for more. Booth sitters will be available to give artists a break when needed and we ask that artists be given priority at the food booths. Three merit awards and one best-of-show honor are presented with some fanfare midway through the event and then announced from the stage. Awards include a cash prize and guaranteed acceptance in the next year's fair with the jury fee waived.
 

The booth fee for all spaces is $200. If you would like a double booth, please notify us through email if you are accepted. Then, select 2 booths when making your payment. We will do our best to accommodate any special needs. Please let us know how we can help.

Artists are allowed to apply in two categories but must only display art in the catagories they are juried in. The jury panel is composed of invited artists and committee members. Artists must provide four images that best represent the art they will exhibit and one booth image. The booth image should show the entire display area and the artwork should be clearly visible. The booth image needs to show how your art will be displayed at our event. A good booth image is often the deciding factor with the jury. Artwork must be original and made by the attending artist. You may be asked to remove art that does not fit the category you are juried in or is not a piece of art produced by you.

Ceramic/Pottery - Original ceramic, pottery, tile and mosaic work, functional or sculptural.

2D Painting - Acrylic, oil, gouache, batik and watercolor paintings are accepted in this catagory.  

2D Drawing - Dry media including chalk, charcoal, pastels, pencil, wax, crayons, etc. or from a fluid medium of ink.

Jewelry - All jewelry, whether the work is produced from metal, glass, clay, fiber, paper, plastic, or other materials, must be entered in this category.

Glass - Any art or functional object where the primary element and focus of the subject is glass.

Wood - Original works that are hand-tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved.

Photography - Artful images produced in limited editions using traditional or contemporary photographic methods.

Printmaking - Limited to traditional fine art methods of printmaking. Prints should be signed and numbered in limited editions. 

Fiber - Original, handmade art or functional items produced from any type of fiber, including leather and other natural materials. 

Sculpture - 3D, fine art objects that are cast or assembled using one primary material or like-materials.

Folk Art - Functional art produced using traditional methods includes: weaving, tin work, metalsmithing and basket making.

Mixed Media - 2D and 3D art made with multiple mediums or materials.

Before applying, please make sure your work and booth meet the stated criteria. By applying, you agree to abide by the rules, policies and decisions of the Stockholm Art Fair.

• WI Sales Tax numbers are required (unless exempt) and artists are required to be in compliance with state laws. Please refer to the WI DOR for rules on exemptions and sales tax.
• There is limited parking around the perimeter of the park. Artists are asked to unload as quickly as possible and then move your vehicle to allow for the next artist to unload. Vehicles must be moved away from the perimeter before 10:00 a.m. and are not allowed back in until after 5:00 p.m.. Artist parking is provided near the selling area. Due to limited space, one parking pass will be issued to each artist. Larger trucks, RVs, and large trailers may need to park in the upper lot. Shuttles start early and the distance is walkable.
• Booths should be set up by 9:30 a.m. on the day of show and must remain set up until 5:00 p.m. 
• Early set up on Friday evening is from 5:00 p.m. until dark. Do not arrive earlier than 5:00 p.m. as the booth layout is in progress.
• Booth tents must be of sturdy construction and able to withstand windy conditions. Each corner must be secured with 45-lb. weight or greater, corkscrew tie-downs or long stakes. 
• Displays and artwork must be confined to the 10x10 display area unless an exception has been arranged by show managers.
• Vehicles are not allowed in the show area, so be prepared to transport materials and art a short distance into the park. 
• Artists may only display art that fits the category they are juried in and their art must reasonably match the description and photos provided to the jury.
• If you would like to be juried in two categories, you must apply for each category and pay the jury fee for each. If you are only accepted in to one category, the other art cannot be on display. 
• Reproductions of paintings and drawings are allowed, but the main body of work must be originals.
• Music is provided by the fair and competing music or audio is not allowed during fair hours.
• Artwork must be original and produced by the artist assigned to the space. The artist must be in attendance.

Booth spaces measure 10x10 with a small buffer space on sides for ease of setup and space for required tie-downs or weights. Most booths also have a few feet of space behind for storage of boxes or inventory. Displays and artwork must be confined to the booth space unless an exception has been arranged with the shows officials. Please be respectful of your neighbors and keep within your space. The grounds are relatively level but be prepared to shim tables and displays on uneven ground, tree roots, etc. Let us know if you have special requirements and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Note: Vehicles are not allowed in the booth area, so be prepared to move materials a short distance into the park.
