Northville Art House Art Market 2026

• Friday, August 14, 2026 3 pm-8pm

Artist Application and Notification Dates:  

• Application deadline:  April 15, 2026 
• Notification: May 1, 2026 via email

The Northville Art House Art Market will be held in historic downtown Northville, Michigan August 14-16, 2026.

Application Process and Fee 

• All artists must apply at www.zappapplication.org. 
• Each application must be accompanied by a $35 non-refundable application/jury fee. 
• Applicants may pay online by credit card through ZAPPlication 
• Applications must be completed by April 15, 2026

The Northville Art House Art Market features works from 12 distinct mediums. Each Application must represent at least one of the  mediums listed below.

Exhibition & Product Guidelines for All Accepted Media Categories 
All works must be the original design of the artist. The only reproductions allowed in the booth are those of the artist’s own original work. Reproductions or prints must be in limited editions, signed and numbered and not comprise more than 25% of total booth offerings. Under no circumstances are mass produced items allowed. The Northville Art House determines what is deemed an original or reproduction, and its decisions are final. 

Artist Images 
Four (4) digital images are to be submitted with each artist's application:  

• three (3) images of the artist’s work in one (1) medium category 
• one (1) image of the artist's booth as it will appear at the Art Market.  

Artist logo, branding, name or business name are not permitted in any submission photos. High quality images paired with a strong, compelling artist statement will allow for the clearest demonstration of the artist’s abilities as jurors make their selections for participation. If accepted, Artist agrees to the use of shared images by the Northville Art House for promotional purposes only 

Application Calendar

• Application period closes at 11:59 pm on April 15, 2026
• Artists will be notified via email of their acceptance into the Art Market on May 1, 2026
• Artists have until May 31, 2026  to confirm their participation and submit their booth fee
• A 50% booth refund is possible when requested by July 17, 2026
  • Any cancellations after July 17, 2026 are non-refundable

• Artist Check-In and Set-Up: Friday, August 14 (assigned set-up times begin at 9:00 am
  • Artists will be assigned a specific check-in/set-up time
• Awards Jurying: Friday, August 14, 3 pm - 7 pm
• Awards Presented: Saturday, August 15, 10 am
• Load out may begin Sunday, August 16 at 3:01 pm, after the close of the event

Fair Awards 
Six monetary prizes, totaling $1,800, will be awarded to artists during the Art Market. The Jury is composed of three (3) arts professionals.  Jurors will be on-site Friday, August 14 to review artworks and booth presentation. Award winners will be announced at 10 am on Saturday, August 15. Prize ribbons will be provided to display on booths. 

Artist Listing 
Participating Artists and their corresponding booth numbers will be listed in digital and printed Art Market programs and displayed on site maps. Artists will also be listed on the Art Market’s website, accessible on site, through QR codes and at the information booth. Select artists may be profiled prior to and during the event on the Art House's social media platforms and other marketing materials.  

Wi-Fi in downtown Northville 
Please note that wi-fi is not provided. We recommend using a self-provided hotspot or cellular phone data. 
 
Sales Information 
Artists retain 100% of their sales while participating in the Northville Art House Art Market and are solely responsible for the collection and reporting of all applicable sales tax. Limitation of Liability 
The Northville Art House (NAH) is not liable for any theft, loss, or damage to your work or personal property, and is not liable for any personal injury to you or anyone that may be assisting you while participating in the Art Market. You are advised to obtain your own insurance coverage in the type and amount of coverage as advised by your insurance provider. The artist applicant agrees to make no claim for any reason whatsoever, including negligence, against the NAH, its members, volunteers and/or employees of the City of Northville for loss, theft, damage, destruction of property or towing of vehicles, nor for any injury to artists or artist employees/assistants of Artist(s) while present at the Art Market. Total value for all items brought for display and sale to the NAH Art Market must not exceed $50,000. Exceptions must be submitted in writing to office@northvillearthouse.org not less than 15 days prior to the event.  
 
Violation of Art Fair Rules 
Artists booths will be visited periodically by Art Market leadership to ensure rule compliance. If an artist is in violation of any rules, they may be asked to leave the fair.  Persistent violation of the rules may jeopardize the right to participate in future NAH Art Markets. Eligibility 
The Northville Art House reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any artist for inclusion in the Art Market in accordance with the Art Market jury process. Jurors score each application and acceptance is based on creativity, uniqueness, concept and mastering of technique or craftsmanship of the work in addition to the overall presentation shown in the booth’s image. All work must be designed and executed by the accepted artist(s) (maximum of two collaborators).  

Booth Location 
Participating artists shall accept booth locations in downtown Northville as assigned by Northville Art House Art Market leadership. Artists may request a specific location, but the Northville Art House will not be able to honor all requests.Thank you in advance for your understanding. 

Booth Fees 

• The booth fee is $350 for a single space and $700 for a double space for artists.
• Generators are only allowed for food vendors 
• Applicants may pay online by credit card through ZAPPlication or by check made payable to Northville Art House and mailed to Northville Art House, 215 W. Cady Street, Northville, MI 48167, attn: Art Market. 
• Fees/checks must be received by May 31, 2026. 

Booth Requirements 

• Artists must submit their own tents and display surfaces
• Artists' tents may not exceed 10’x10’  unless a double-booth space has been requested
• By order of the fire department, awnings may not be placed off the front of your tent.
• Tents must be weighted with a minimum of 40 lbs on each corner. 
• All weights must be secured to a frame/leg of the tent - no bungee cords. 
• Any containers used as weight must have a cover/closure to secure the weighted material inside.  
• All tents are subject to inspection by a representative of the City of Northville. Artists are responsible for addressing any safety issue(s) found prior to the start of the fair. 
• This is an outdoor event. Some ground may be uneven in areas. Efforts are made to place booths on even ground; however, the Northville Art House does not control the maintenance of the streets and understanding is necessary in working with the outdoor variables.  
• NO PETS WILL BE ALLOWED. 

Booth Set-up/Breakdown 

Artists may pull their vehicles into the Art Market area for unloading and loading. Immediately after unloading their vehicle, artists must relocate their cars to an alternate parking area 

• Set up begins at 9am for the first round of Artist. Artists will be assigned a specific time slot for arriving and unloading their vehicles to ensure ease for all and traffic management. Artists are not permitted to set up prior to their assigned load-in time.  
• Booths may begin to break down starting at 3:01pm on Sunday. All materials should be off site no later than 6:00pm. 

• Application fees are non-refundable. 
• Accepted artists wishing to cancel and receive a booth fee refund must notify the Art Market team at the Northville Art House directly by emailing artmarket@northvillearthouse.org
• A 50% refund will be issued for cancellation requests received by July 17, 2026.  
• No refunds will be issued after July 17, 2026
