1. The Midwest Salute to the Arts does not require a commission on sales. Artists are responsible for collecting and reporting the Illinois State Tax (forms provided).
2. Artists are required to be present with their work during all festival hours.
3. Midwest Salute to the Arts is a rain or shine show.
4. Individual display areas are approximately 10'x10' Electrical power (not to exceed 1000 watts) is provided, free of charge, for each space. Artists are responsible for their own display and lighting equipment, which must conform to space and power allotments mentioned previously.
5. Screen Displays:
   1. Original art is to comprise a minimum of 2/3 of screen displays.
   2. Hand-pulled prints are considered original art and may be displayed on screens.
   3. No more than 1/3 of the screen displays may feature signed reproductions, and all reproductions must be clearly labeled as such.
   4. All work displayed on screen will be appropriately framed or otherwise prepared for finished presentation.
   5. Unframed, signed/unsigned reproductions may be sold, but will be displayed in portfolios (not on screens) and clearly labeled as reproductions. Note cards, calendars, books, and other items created from the artist’s own work may be offered. Mechanically reproduced art should be limited to no more than 50% of the total display.
6. All work offered must be original by the exhibiting artist. No kits or work from kits are acceptable. Plagiarism, production line art or art factory-reproduced items (other than noted above) are grounds for immediate removal from the show.
7. We reserve the right to use images submitted for jurying for publicity and request you also include a brief resume or artist's statement with your entry.
8. All exhibiting artists are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism. The MSTA reserves the right to remove the vendor if regulations stated in this prospectus and otherwise made contractually are not adhered to; or whose conduct and merchandise is unacceptable.
9. Artists violating the rules of this fair may be asked to leave and will become ineligible for readmission to future events.
10. Submitting this application is a commitment to ALL show rules.
11. BY CITY ORDINANCE PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE PARK.

Upon acceptance, artists may purchase a booth space. These will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Each exhibitor will be provided a space measuring 10' deep by 10' wide. Artists are to provide their own display booth, racks, and/or tables & lighting in order to display their work in an outdoor environment.

**Display booths exceeding the artist’s prescribed 10’x 10’space dimensions will be charged for an additional space.

Each exhibitor will occupy one 10' x 10' space on grass or black top with approximately 3 feet in between each tent. 
Guidelines will be emailed to all artists before the show with specific setup and teardown instructions. 

IMPORTANT: Please ensure you bring sufficient weights and sandbags to secure your tent against the Midwest's unpredictable weather and crowds.  Please make sure to safeguard your tent and your work.
