Merchants and Makers at The Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival 2026

Artists and Makers, we invite you to be part of the Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival Market, organized by Merchants and Makers! Held during the beloved Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival, this annual two-day event transforms Central Park into a dynamic marketplace that celebrates creativity and craftsmanship. Join over 140 talented artisans and makers on the first weekend in August, sharing your unique goods with tens of thousands of festival-goers.

This juried market is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your work and connect with shoppers who appreciate quality and originality. From fine art, jewelry, and crafts to vintage goods, we welcome artisans across all disciplines. Food trucks and concession vendors are also encouraged to apply via this application.

• We do not accept Multi-Level Marketing companies, at all.
• You must have sufficient product for a full booth setup. This is for the sake of our shoppers, and your success.
• We do everything we can to be supportive of one another. If you feel as if you cannot be encouraging to other makers, engaged with shoppers, and have a positive attitude at shows, this may not be the market for you.
• If you are a food vendor, all food being sold at the market must be licensed by MDARD and created in a commercial kitchen. Packaging must follow state guidelines. 
• Only items juried into the show will be allowed to be sold during the Market. Vendors selling unacceptable items or items not juried into the show will be asked to remove said items and/or vacate their space with no refund.
• You must be present the entire time of the show and agree to be open during all hours. If you leave early, without permission, you will not be invited back.
• Booths are not transferable and may not be shared with other vendors.
• Vendors are responsible for collecting and paying the State of Michigan Sales Tax of 6%.
• Security is provided overnight on Thursday and Friday.  Merchants and Makers will not be held responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items. 
• This is a rain-or-shine show. No provisions, refunds, or alternate dates are made in case of cancellations due to acts of God or government agency requirements.
• Vendors agree to allow Merchants and Makers to use photos in promotions.
• Merchants and Makers Market Coordinators reserve the right to remove any vendors from their space for not following the rules, regulations, terms, and conditions outlined in this document and the acceptance packet.
• Food Trucks/Concessions - If selected, you must supply a liability insurance certificate and Food Truck Licenses and have a valid Fire Inspection in the City of Grand Haven. 

For everyone’s safety, all tents must be properly weighted. A standard 10x10 canopy needs at least 50 lbs per leg, with extra weight recommended if it’s windy. Weights should be securely attached to each tent leg and, when possible, also tethered to the canopy using ratchet straps or sturdy rope. Please use commercial tent weights, concrete-filled PVC pipes or buckets, or securely strapped gym weight plates. Staking is not allowed. Unsecured or unstable items, including cinder blocks, are not permitted. If you do not adhere to this, we will ask you to take down your tent, and have the right to remove you from the event. 

All booths are approximately 11x11 spaces, allowing for one 10x10 tent. 

Vendors are responsible for providing all display needs, including tents, tables, chairs, weights, etc. No smoking, loud sound systems, or generators are allowed in booth areas. No water is available at the booth site. Electric is avialable upon request. 

FEES:
Registration fee (non-refundable): $35 (paid at the time of application submission)
Single Booth (10x10): $300
Single Corner Booth (10x10): $350
Extended Booth (10 wide x 20 deep): $400
Double Booth (10 deep x 20 wide): $600

Food Trucks/Concessions: $800 (6 total trucks) 

Setup times: 

Thursday: 1:30 - 7 pm 

Friday: 6 am - 8:45 am
