THE APPLICATION PROCESSEmerging Artists
The EAA supports and encourages the next generation of art fair artists. Early career artists that are residents of Colorado may apply to the current Evergreen Fine Arts Festival in the “Emerging Artist” category. This special category is intended for artists with little or no experience in exhibiting and selling their work at an OUTDOOR art fair.
Benefits to the Emerging Artists will be reduced booth fees, display equipment such as a tent and walls will be provided free of charge, and the emerging artists will benefit from the guidance of local art fair veterans. Emerging Artists will be responsible for assembling their tent and set-up.
Emerging Artist’s work is submitted to the jury in the same manner as all applying artists.

Jury Process
A panel of jurors chosen from professional artists, gallery owners, and art educators will conduct a blind jury in early April. The jurors will score the artwork displayed in a preview followed by a slower viewing. They will not know who the artists are, where they are from, or whether they have participated in a previous EFAF festival before. This is a blind jury. All decisions made by the jury are solely based on the quality of the artwork.
We recommend you try to match your media as closely as possible to the above listed media. If there is a problem, the director will contact you to make changes prior to the jury process so that you can most fairly be judged.
Information provided by the artist on the images is given to the juror if requested.
All jury scores are final. Due to the shear volume of applicants, we are unable to give individual critiques or feedback.
Wait List
A wait list in each category will be established based solely on jury scores. Artists on the wait list will be notified via email and/or telephone when an opening arises. Our experience is that we do pull from this list up until the last week.
