Art on the Green Invites Artists to Apply for our 58th Annual Festival, To be Held on July 31 through August 2, 2026!
Art on the Green is located on Lake Coeur d'Alene, on the beautiful campus of North Idaho College. We are attended by over 30,000 people and produced by over 300 volunteers. We are a non-profit corporation. Our mission is to provide a family-friendly community gathering, which celebrates fine art from throughout the United States, free entertainment on two stages, art activities for children, as well as a variety of food and beverages. We use our profits for awards to artists, art supplies for local schools, the donation of art to North Idaho College and to a local school, and a free symphonic concert for fourth-graders in Coeur d'Alene. In the past eight years we have donated over $64,500 of art supplies to our local schools.
Art on the Green is a festival of the highest reputation and quality. This is a credit to our community, to our volunteers, and to all participating artists. The festival gathers friends and families for a celebration of life and the arts. Our festival features specialty food booths with offerings ranging from our traditional sausages and sauerkraut, fresh corn on the cob, ice cream, and a beer & wine garden with local beer, cider and wine. We feature a Children's Art Garden, with painting and special art activities for children. We offer entertainment on two stages,with exciting regional musicians of multiple genres. We value the highest quality of fine art offered by our booth artists. We hope you will be a part of our 2026 Festival!

58th Annual Art on the Green

- Accepted categories: Cloth/fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metal sculpture, mixed-media, painting, photography, pottery, printmaking, wood, and more. (This is an art fair for handmade items only.)
- We hold a Juried Art Show Gallery within the festival each year. This is a unique outdoor gallery within the festival, which is very popular with the community, with juried prizes and a people's choice award. The awards equal about $4,000 per year. In addition, we purchase art from the juried show to donate to North Idaho College and to a local school each year. Application Requirements
THE FOLLOWING WORK IS NOT ACCEPTABLE:
SALES & RECEIPTS:
IDAHO SALES TAX: Idaho State sales tax is 6% and must be collected by the individual booth artists on all sales and remitted to the Idaho State Tax Commission within 15 days after the festival. Please register with the State Tax Commission prior to the festival.
SECURITY AND LIABILITY:
The festival will undertake the measures to insure the safety and security of all exhibits on a 24-hour basis during the festival. However, we cannot be held responsible for loss, theft or damage of any kind. If the festival is cancelled due to acts of God or circumstances beyond our control, we are not liable for loss or damage you incur.
WAITLIST:
Applicants who are not accepted may be placed on a wait list. If additional space or cancellations are available after final payment deadlines have passed, applicants on the waitlist will be chosen based on their discipline. Our goal is to maintain a balanced representation of genres of fine art, as we believe this helps promotes sales for you.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS:
All booth payment fees for the first notification of booths must be received by May 15, 2026. Booth fees for the second notification are due by June 12, 2026. You may cancel with a full refund, less $25 administrative fee, on or before June 30, 2026. Cancellations after June 30 are not refunded, as we often cannot fill the booth space as the festival dates approach.
This date is set so that we can give notice to artists who are on the wait list.
Your initial application fee which is paid to Zapp is not refundable.

Booth Information
BOOTH FEE: $550 single booth, $1100 double booth.
BOOTHS: Please note: We cannot guarantee corner booths, but please let us know also if you want to be near another artist. We appreciate that artists keep an eye on each other's booths during the festival weekend. We cannot guarantee a certain space, but we will try to work with your needs. We value your work and the space you need to display your art.

- A maximum of two artists per booth is allowed. Each artist must be screened separately.
- A booth space is 10’ wide x 10’ deep. White booths only. North Idaho College now requires that we use weights (sand bags, cement blocks, metal weights, etc.) instead of stakes, for all booths.
- You may decorate your booth in a festive style with colorful flags, banners, etc.
- Exhibitor’s name(s) and Idaho Sales Tax form must be prominently displayed on the booth.
- The entire booth must be confined to space assigned.
- Excess noise of any kind is prohibited.
- If you desire shade or power (battery), you must provide your own.
- Booths must remain open all three days and be taken down Sunday at the close of the festival.
- Vehicles must be removed from the grounds immediately after unloading.
- Artists must be present in their booths.
- Camping is not allowed on the grounds, although you may sleep with your booth.
- Please, no alcohol (except in the beer/wine garden) or non-service dogs on the grounds.

All set-up must be done by festival opening (no vehicles on grounds after 10:30 am on Friday).

FESTIVAL HOURS
Art booths are expected to be open for the following hours:
Friday: 11 a.m to 7:30pm
Saturday: 10:00am to 7:30pm
Sunday: 10:00am to 4:00pm
SET UP
Set-Up time starts at 2:00pm on Thursday, after you check in and receive your booth number.
Please do not block driveways into the festival.
As soon as you are set up, please remove your vehicle from festival grounds. Do not park in reserved permit spaces. Parking for vendors is no longer allowed by North Idaho College. We apologize for this recent change in their policy.
No vehicles will be allowed on the grounds after 10:30 am Friday or before 4:00pm Sunday.
Please display your booth number and name tag during festival hours.
HOSPITALITY
Complimentary muffins and coffee are provided for booth artists Friday, Saturday & Sunday morning from 8:00am to 9:30am.
Please bring a refillable water bottle. We will provide drinking water for artists at the festival, and appreciate your use of water bottles. Our goal is to use less plastic at the festival. For assistance, please call or text 208-667-9346.
